So sorry! Plus this is our FY end (this week) - and everybody here is enlisted into multiple tasks to make sure everything is Perfectly Square ($, Inventory, Machine Maintenance, Spit and Polish - you name it, it happens all this week.
I guess it pays to keep out of Ken's dog house at this time of year so you don't wind up being in charge of inventorying the Spit. Ick.
I wish I could get the Parallax crew up here to clean my shop, and count my inventory! (After one look, though, they'd probably just back away slowly, then run.)
Hey all-
I'm told that Final decision will be announced on Wednesay @ 10am Parallax Time - barring any unforseen glitches in our decision making process.

Just in time! It says on the Parallax website (and forums) that orders placed after 11:00 am on Wednesday won't be processed until Friday, and the announcement for the winners of this contest is at 10:00!
Ok, since this isn't closed yet I have one more to add......
Please consider stocking the DIP version of the MAX3232 or an equivalent part. Since the Propeller chip is a 3.3V device having the MAX3232 chips make it easier to interface with Serial devices using standard RS232 connections. Although I can get them elsewhere it would certainly be convenient to order some at the same time as the Propeller chips and if you buy in quantity you may be able to provide them cheaper than other places.

Well! Then there's time for one more...............
There is one other project I'd like to see Parallax create. That is a new Propeller powered version of the # 28099 Robolympics Metals. Those were pretty cool and a new version would be awesome......
I'd like to thank Parallax and the selection comittee as well as all the competition offered by my fellow forum members. This is a great honor and I hope that you all enjoy....

Ok, here they come. There is no order of preference, nor is there any guarantee that all (or any for that matter) will be made, ever.
I'm also not naming the winners because I haven't taken the time to associate the ideas with who posted what first (actually, you all can help with that)
The judges included the Sales Manager, Tech Support, and myself.
All of you should be proud...even though you didn't win, and no, there are no "participation trophys" - only WINNERS! and losers...

Is there a date where you no longer are accepting ideas? Also, are things looking good for the Wednesday announcement?
P.S. Here's an idea: a new Penguin/Toddler-like biped! Maybe with a height in between that of the Toddler and Penguin

Well! Then there's time for one more...............
Bee-es-three! Bee-es-three! Bee-es-three!

A Parallax video game! You could construct and program robots using Propellers and Basic Stamps and explore fictional worlds with them.
Then people could order the same parts used in the game and build there own robots!
I'm pretty sure that a game like that is under development already, but I think it would be cool use the BS and Prop.
...hey, wait, is this thing on???
Oh, come on! I was just going to do that!
couple more minutes...
the suspense is killing me...
...and then this entire thread disappeared!
What contest?
