I thought it would make another neat freebie.
(and perhaps Ken might sell some RFID readers in the process.) ;)

I am microcontrolled.

But you·can·call me micro.

If it's not Parallax then don't even bother.

I have changed my avatar so that I will no longer be confused with others who use generic avatars (and I'm more of a Prop head then a BS2 nut, anyway)

Looks like this was great fun. Thx to Brian for the photos - good to see photos of so many people that chat here online.

There was a request for the next expo to go a little further East, eg to the UK. Could keep going a bit more further East, maybe to the Far East. Then go South a bit to Australia?! *grin*

I might have to bring forward the trip to the USA that I keep promising the kids!

Hi Guys,

It took me a couple of days but I wrote about my experience at UPENE and posted some pictures as well:

I want to thank OldBitCollector and Parallax for the expo. My reply is late because when I got back home I found my main computer dead as a doornail. Good backup saved all data files, but I am still installing applications. Wouldn't it be nice if an application was in one directory and all you had to do was copy the directory for an install. The new computer came with Vista of course. XP Pro to Vista is a step in the wrong direction.

It was a great show again this year! Thanks to all involved and contributed to the event, I enjoyed meeting a lot of the forum members in person and look forward to the next one.

@Robert,

Can't wait to see some robots on the floor next year!

@All,

It sure is nice to be able to picture a face when I'm communicating in the forums. :)

I'll say! I always picture the persons avatar talking! lol.gif (no, I seriously do)
And if they don't have an avatar, well, I just kind of pictured a serious, thoughtful voice coming from the void, empty space where there head should be. tongue.gifsmile.giftongue.gifroll.gif

Great report, Rick! I liked the Prop DIP for PrEditor deal. Who knew OBC was such a horse trader?

Yep, last year I brought too much stuff and this year not enough. Next time it should be just right and I should have a few robots to let loose on the floor. If everything works out I may have a presentation or two I can do.
