Have a great time everyone! I'll attend virtually and present via webinar- looking forward to at least hearing your voice.

- left Seattle at 12:30 am this morning, I'm beat.
I was up since 11pm Thursday night until now. The train got into Sacramento at 12:AM, and I had to wait outside the station for the daylight and busses. It was certainly a new experience to "chill" like a homeless guy (it was cold!).
Got a solid 3 hours of sleep and am ready to go! Only trouble is it's just 3AM here on West Coast time :{. Taxi driver and I spend a good 15 minutes searching for the hotel. He had GPS, but the hotel and street address are brand new... There's no signs either... Manager told me they were too tall so the city made them take them down!
According to the sign in the Parallax lobby yesterday, doors open at 9 AM today
and will stay open until 3 PM on Sunday. I guess they are planning on an all night
session for some

I came back to the hotel room to check in on the family, and grab some stuff.
The presentations have all been good so far. I watched the Airplane auto pilot and sail boat presentations with great interest! People are doing very cool things with the propeller.
Lots of people are here and everybody is eager to talk about their experiences, show off projects and just generally meet 'n greet. Everyone I've met has been great. It's a lot of fun to put the faces to the names here we all know so well.
The Parallax crew is doing a wonderful job taking care of us. I can't thank them and OBC enough for putting such a fun day together.
I'm also impressed by the quality and quantity of products the vendors brought to the show. Everything from new Propeller dev boards to really cool snap 'n screw down acrylic enclosures for various dev boards. (I'm going to snag a coupla those online here in the near future)
Was gonna post up some pictures, but they are too large for the forum here. Just gimme a minute....
Ok, I dumped a few quick shots into Photobucket. Sorry, I just got this camera. It's really nice, but I have to get used to it. But! You can see the various goings on, some projects and such.
Bill Henning is reporting to us on the genesis of Largos.
It's really cool. He's worked through LMM and has a Unix like kernel OS, some cool hardware to run it on, and demonstrated to me nice, high resolution video drivers, Morpheus hardware, and is selling the 100Mhz crystals.
Bill has done some nice standards work, with a nice OS, drivers, driver API, C, etc... Good stuff coming up.
The webinar was good --- got some of those important questions answered!
Obvious criticism for next time (from an old sound recording engineer):
1. Have enough headsets so you don't have to pass them around. There was an inordinate amount of "microphone banging" going on. (Clunk clunk, thucnk thunk)
2. Mic the audience so we can hear the questions - many were repeated - so we heard the questioner and the repeated questions, then many were unheard - so all we had were the answers.
3. Do a 'sound check' of the whole system before you go live. Video check too.
4. Have someone other than the speakers move the camera. :)
