@Tim - I meant to ask during your presentation, and it may be a stupid question but, as Parts-man73 said "It isn't a dumb question unless you haven't Googled it yet." Well, I Googled it and can't figure out what the E.I. stands for. What is it?
Engineering Intern is the technical term. It doesn't mean I am an "intern". What is though is the first designation on the way to becoming a "Professional Engineer" or P.E. There is a series of exams to take to get the P.E. license. Different engineering and different career paths require it. It is very common in structural or civil engineering for instance. I wanted to get my P.E. because I think it is cool and becasue it is respected in the entertainment industry.
I passed the fundamentals of engineering exams just before I graduated, so technically I can call myself an Engineering Intern or E.I. Some states call it something else, but the term isn't coming to my mind at the moment. Anyway, in a few months I need to apply and try and take the next exam for the PE because I have been out of school for five years now and gotten the experience needed.
Thanks for asking. I don't consider myself an "alphabet collector", but in the next week or so I was going to take the first test to become a "Ham Technician" because I think it is cool to have the HAM radio license.
You were to smart to take the fundamentals test when you were still in college. I waited and took the Engineering Fundamentals and the Final P.E. exam five or six years after I had graduated. Two days of testing, back-to-back - whew! The second part was a piece of cake, but I just barely passed the fundamentals part. Anyway, I have my P.E. and I guess I had forgotten about the Engineering Intern designation. Good luck on the second part, but I am sure you will ace it - Kettering has prepared you well.

Thanks Ed! I don't remember looking at the Michigan rules for Engineering Intern designation or if had to be something else. It looks like you skipped the designation though since you took the test back to back. MAN, that sounds like a killer. Since I last resided in FL, I have been going by their rules and it is probably where I will take the PE.

I haven't set the exact date for the next expo, *yet*. I will do so in the next couple months.
I'm sure I'll be shooting for sometime in August for the next NE Expo.
There is some discussion planned for a possible West Coast Expo as well.

I got my kids propeller beanies like the ones I sent to the Expo. My son calls it his "Proparallax" hat.

I'm geeked and will definitely be there (as long as it's held in the contigual united states, going OCONUS is a pain in the neck for me).
