If one were to be held in the UK anywhere within a train ride of London I'd probably fly in for it also....

Hippy, yes, we are!

We are in the early steps of putting together a 16-city tour and the UK is absolutely on the top of our list of places to visit ...

We need to carefully craft our seminars so we attract the customers on the forums, as well as those who are not. Parallax's mix of hobby, education and commercial (we must attract more commercial users to survive on Propellers) makes such seminar content more important than ever. Our seminars must have value for everybody.

Absolutely brilliant Ken and I've started saving my pennies in a jar already !

I entirely agree, Parallax has to focus on what's best for it; it's a commercial venture and this has to be commercially viable and deliver results. I'd personally be happy for it to be industry / educationalist directed with hobbyists taking a second-tier place. Growing the market and spreading awareness will have many indirect benefits for the hobbyists.

If Chip cannot make it ( could he resist the offer of fish and chips ?! ) you'll have to bring a life-size cardboard cut-out so we have something to hug and bow down before.

Oh sorry, I meant, doff our caps an' tug our forelocks, m'lud. Forgot me etiquette for a moment there smile.gif

I'd go to a UK seminar too. I live in Norfolk, so Norwich would be an excellent venue (happy to help if I can too). If Norwich isn't acceptable, I'd strongly suggest Cambridge - loadsa techies around Cambridge wink.gif

Was thinking if it's somewhere near liverpool, our irish neighbours could ferry across too :), which is also near an airport, and main train stations :)
or a little further south, midlands, half way for our southern propheads to get to also?

Looks like the .jpg feed is frozen. Worked nice for a while though. Wish the CAM was closer to the presenter. Makes me feel like I'm part of the crowd seeing the back of heads I guess :) I tried setting up a chat-client to go with the pic refresh page, but no luck. Propeller IRC would be useful I guess if anyone cared to do that. I'll be turning off the web-page link I posted later today. Cheers.

Congrats Jeff!!

Looks like a fine event. Well done, wish I was there.

Hey, since Chip is there, and HE CAN'T RESIST SHOWING OFF PROP II, does that make it an "Official" unofficial expo now?

Somebody PM me the new details please!

Hey Timothy, thanks for posting the pictures!!!

That wasn't a video from Baggers it was a realtime demo running on the Hybrid and PropGFX Lite, we drew inspiration from OBC's love of all things Commodore....

I really wish we could have been there, it sounds like you are having a great time and what a coup to get Chip there too.

Regards,

Coley

Dear UK Propeller users,

If a UK expo were to be a realistic prospect. I would like to step forward and offer to film this. I own 3 X Sony DSR250
camcorders (mere DVCAM format) I can and would edit on site using a laptop and AVID media composer. Everyone can
take home a free DVD to view later on own system.

This is a very serious & sincere offer from me, promise not to put my own "SPIN" on things.

Since I was made redundant from a large company. my interest in video is just a pure hobby now.

With regrads

Mike.

Thanks to all who helped on the NE Propeller expo.

I was able to catch some of the static 'videos'. Not as good as being there but helpful. View was a bit small for me to recognize anyone though. Too bad the speaker wasn't in view all the time.

And Chip attended! Holy Prop Wash! Hope someone took notes on the event, and especially any news on Prop II.

Wish the location had been more local. Hey, can't please everyone.

Thanks OBC for all you effort. yeah.gif

Guess we'll have to wait until attendees are back home to get the news on the event.

Hey Guys;

Great convention! Enjoyed meeting everyone in person. Thought I'd share my presentation, sample business plan and financials template. They're up on my site, Gadget Gangster.

That was nice of Chip to hand out prototypes of the prop II to all the attendees, Thanks Chip!
