Thanks Mickster and Chip for making me aware of this post.
At this time there are no kits available and pretty much all work has stopped due to me being so busy with work.
I will release the CAD drawings in the next couple of days so at least people with access to a laser can make a cabinet.
Mickster mentioned I hadn't yet unboxed the CNC router I purchased over 12 months ago which is criminal really but sadly it's true.
I've been concentrating on running my Security Systems business which has expanded significantly over the last 18 months, all work and no time to play!
If you haven't paid attention to the software side of things, we have a NeoGeo emulator now. Very Arcade-y. Custom 96MB RAM expander required for full enjoyment, but also works with the 32MB Edge board.
Updated first post with the design files for the single button model.
I still need to tidy up the 6 button variant, once I've done that I'll post that here too.

Awesome work Ada, I'll have to get that working on a cab! Thanks for sharing
So, Coley, is the software/firmware available? I can get through the cabinet build even though I don't have a laser cutter. The software is my big hurdle.

Hi, if you are referring to the 8 in 1 release then we are still waiting for our world record attempt to be ratified before releasing the sources.
Yeah, just need to get a time when Coley and myself aren't mad busy with paid work, hopefully we'll manage to get time to get it done and out soon
Just to let you all know, we've far from forgot, just can't get the time to have a proper catch up and sort it.
Hi moorem34, sorry but nothing has moved on with this project, I'm really busy with work stuff and I must admit I've not even spoken with Baggers for a good while.
I'll contact him by WhatsApp and see where he's up to.
Thanks to Mickster for letting me know about this post.

Thanks Coley for the reply. Glad to hear you're busy with your profession.
Thanks Mickster for the "relay"
I'm not a gaming fan but the P2-arc8de has really impressed me. I hope it stays alive. I'm privvy to what Coley is handling right now and it's great but will take time.
VonSzarvas contacted me today to let me know about the Parallax Open Day and if we would be attending and if we could make the P2 Arc8de available.
I've just gone over this thread again and it brought back so many good memories of the times we spent developing this fun little project.
I don't know if I can make it to the Open Day but I'd love to see this project ressurected and to see people have as much fun with it as I did during the development phase.
Baggers currently has the cabinets and I'll be making contact with him this weekend to see if he can release the software portion of this.
If you are interested in making one or more of these, the hardware design files are attached to the first post of this thread.
@Baggers @Coley @VonSzarvas I am interested in putting these together for our May 2-3 event. Maybe about 30 sets total, but we'd need to move very quickly and I would need some help. We'd offer them to the Propeller Community at our costs +20% for handling. I am willing to resurrect the electronic side of the project, so I think we'd need the cases and code to assemble the project.
The Propeller warrants this project being completed. As part of finishing it up, I'd collect up the videos, resources, design files, and actual hardware and commit it to a home on our web site, permanently.
Is there support from the developers to make this happen?
Is there support from the community to buy them if we produce them? Limited offer!
I'm willing to manage things if we have a consensus that this project should live in a physical existence. Can you assist me?
Thank you,
Ken Gracey

P.S. The Evite for Open House and Propeller Day will be issued soon.

@"Ken Gracey" I would buy at least one set.
Thanks @"Francis Bauer" I was kinda quietly counting on your attendance, too! Super. I spoke with Chip about the PCB today and his memory is that it was fully functional and not needing revisions. This means I can get those underway with @VonSzarvas pretty quickly. Seems I just need to get the cases manufactured somewhere. Hoping the guys in the UK can do that part

If you're gonna put a P2EC board into an enclosed space, you should probably have some sort of added cooling. Otherwise they can run hot and crash. (Had great headaches about this about a year ago - According to @VonSzarvas empirically most boards (especially EC32MB Rev B ) can hang out just fine at room temp (mine doesn't) but no one's tested it in an enclosure)
Assuming that's a 800x480 screen, that's what it'd look like with actual 320x224 game content:

No sh*t you didn't even turn up to the pub 😂🤣
I can promise you, that is so out of character for me!
We need to hook up before I return to the US but seriously, I believe that you have one heck of a product here....needs to be a reality 👍😎
Glad you're still around, Coley!

For it might not be obvious, code and instructions live here: https://github.com/IRQsome/NeoYume (and likewise https://github.com/IRQsome/MegaYume for the Mega Drive one)
There is a link "Eagle source file" on this page that is broken (404)
Ping @Rayman

I'll check on link... Thanks.
Fixed!

Any noteworthy news on the P2-arc8de controller these days?

Yay!
Great to know that we have life
Did you guys register with Guinness World Records for the longest wait ever for Guinness World Records?
Great to see you here, Graham

I won't be attending but I'd buy one (if attendance is a prerequisite, I'll buy one for another user)
Ken,
sign me up for one please

I have replied to you by email Ken
Maybe it's time to resurrect this project, I'm looking for input from forumistas as to what they'd like to see going forward.
It has been mooted by several people to redesign the cabinet to make it standalone i.e. to have a P2 dedicated per cabinet.
Here is the current design for a standalone version, what would you change (apart from a bigger screen)
If you're gonna put a P2EC board into an enclosed space, you should probably have some sort of added cooling. Otherwise they can run hot and crash.
