Yes, yes, and yes. Choose from the nature of the task and the capabilities required.
There was some question marks about using the Beagle in commercial products but hundreds of people do and the Beagle makers have softened their line on that. It's OK.
The Raspi guys don't care what you do with their boards but won't like you misusing the Raspberry Pi name commercially. That's fair enough.
Maybe with the new Pi B+. The original Pi, no way. The power issues on the board were waaay too severe to put in any kind of production environment. The Pi would arbitrarily power-cycle with power-spikes from USB devices.
Yes the original Pi is a bit finicky about it's power supply. That does not mean it does not work given a half decent supply. I have never seen random power cycles due to USB connected devices but even if that is the case who says we are using USB here?
There are plenty of Pi's performing such duties around the world. I know of traffic lights that have Raspberry Pi's controlling their bus priority systems in a European capital!
I always hear Arduino mentioned and people on the forums talk about the Raspberry Pi a lot. I've never used either so I'm not familiar with their capabilities. I know the Arduino usually requires a shield.

Maybe we should quit talking about it while we're ahead (or behind in case of sales volume).

Now you got me looking for some deep meaning and insight in there. That zen moment when the oneness of the universe comes comes together in an orgasm of enlightenment.
Nah, I guess I just have to get the bus to work in the morning.
You spotted an interesting ambiguity there. Well, perhaps not actually interesting, unless you are me and find that quite often the the bus to work does not actually work. It's amazing how many times they have conked out on the way.
But then again I try not to "get the bus running" because all that running for the bus leaves me breathless.
And then again I would rather not "take the bus to work,". I'd rather it took me to work.
And what the hell are they going to do with this bus when I get it into the office where I work?!

He drew a picture (worth 1000 ... you know).
