Looking forward to the event. I've never been to one before, so the parking map and time to arrive if we're exhibiting is very helpful. If we are planning on setting things up to show are there any other plans we need to make?
Good question! I'm driving down (from WI) morning of and had planned on getting there after 11am. If I have a project I want to show off is my late arrival going to be a problem?

No, we'll find room for you! Don't worry!

Sweet thanks!! If its any consolation my little setup includes "singing" skulls and music.
Chip spent a lot of time discussing all the new i/o features that each pin will have. There are so many different digital and analog options, the possibilities are endless...
The Turing machine presentation was quite spiffy. He also had his wooden nickel printer going and I think the children there put some serious miles on it....
I was also very impressed by a 4 legged dog-like robot that the guy next to me was working on.
I didn't see a camcorder going (and hope there wasn't because my own presentation was a bit unpolished because I just cobbled it together in 10 minutes at 6 AM this morning).
Is it maybe anyone that made Video on Chip's presentation?

What I recall is that there were, I think, 8 bits that controlled how a pin behaved and it could be analog or digital. Most of the modes were digital and you had your choice of several built in source resistances and a few modes that acted as fixed current sources. And, a bit or two decided the effect of the adjacent pin so you could do differential connections... The analog modes had two different ADC options, one for very fast 8 or 9-bit acquisition (1 MHz? max) and one for slower but very precise acquisition (20 kHz? max). And, there was the DAC mode that he talked about before...
"several built in source resistances". Yes, there are quite a few different things we can do with multiple resistances to + or gnd. Like a single pin with 1 external resistor can determine about 8 states IIRC using 2 pullup values and 2 pulldown values. So we can config some code depending of 1 resistor. I know there are other things we can do too.
How about the counters???

Not just a short video though, we are not going to accept anything less than "the whole experience" so to speak.
