I liked the writing style. You have hit the right note.

One little thing, it is "procede"? Isn't it?

Precede is something gyros do. And I don't think that is what you meant.

Yes. I meant that. Wasn't prepared to search for more than one correction in a single word. That's how humans function.

Well done, Bitcollector: "The poor man's guide to the Propeller" smile.gif

BTW: The precise values of the video resistors are of little significance. You do not need 1% 1k1, 560R, 270R! 10% 1k, 470R, 220R will do fine!

Nice job Oldbitcollector,

I look forward to the .SPIN cookbook. This one is spitting out of the printer now.

Skogsgurra- you're a little off on the correction. You were thinking of precess

precess v : move in a gyrating fashion; "the poles of the Earth precess
at a right angle to the force that is applied"

So this wil become an English tutorial - I like that!!
to precede means "taking precedence", or just "being ahead"

I'm famous!

Oh just a side note, on page 7 (the reset switch one) you wrote "Wella". In Europe that's the name for a haircare product manufacturer. I think you're looking for the word "voila" :)

150px-Wella-Logo.svg.png

Man, page 9 makes me wish I had some cash left to get an Xport, that would be sweet!

Gr,

Change added to next revision... (To prevent some haircare company from claiming use of their trademark!)

I think I've struck a nerve with this.. 84 downloads in 24 hours before I changed the link.

Oldbitcollector,

I've tried downloading from
http://www.4shared.com/file/21418495/704c2aef/PPDftBv11.html
but was not able to get anything.

Is there something 'tricky' about that site?

Harley,
The site suffers from being obscure. You must click on the "my_4shared" link after Folders:

A second dialog (2 lines long) appears on the page beneath the little Ads by Google logo.

Afterwards the dialog is always there, showing you how many have downloaded and when you last did so.

Fred.

Thanks Fred,

Now that is nearly a useless site for a first comer!!! Obscure for secure manure, dejour, detour?

Is it really a useful site? There were two files. Couldn't tell that I got either one. Only one on my desktop. Hope it was the right one.

Sorry! Being the file is getting close to a megabyte in size, I needed a freebie site I could use to distribute this because I knew it would cause problems with bandwidth on my existing site. If theres a better solution at that price, let me know.. :)

No offense intended, Fred. Just got into a 'rhymy mode'. I'd not seen such poor access on a web site before. Usually the goal is to make access easy, else a web site will wither if it isn't improved

The file I got is 768KB, so sounds like the right one for a zipped file. Haven't gone back for the other, and don't know its size.
