Did Parallax ever make any support boards, like a 'Stamps in Class' type board for the
BS2p40?
Thank you for any input,
David

The Professional Development board has a socket.

Manual attached.
Thank you Tom! I'll order one in a second.

Thank you for the links Publison! I'm going to order a board in a second.
David
You will have to look for that board on ebay. It's been discontinued for many years.
I've been on Ebay, Jameco, Mouser, Digikey, Amazon, and all over the internet. I even went to Craigs List (not that I would buy something
there); all ended with no luck. Do you think that Parallax would release the schematics for the board so I could build or have one built?
David
The schematics for the pro board are out there. I have my own pro board, just look up parallax 28138 pro development board
The schematic is on jameco
Pro board manual attached.
This one has schematic details
same one posted in #10
Daphyl01,
The BS2p24/40 Demo Board (#45187) has a layout similar to the Board of Education (BOE) and the Homework Board (HWB) used in the Stamps-in-Class series of kits.

The Demo board schematic is near the bottom of the page.
The Professional Developer Board (#28138) came with the StampWorks Kit (#27297) which is great to have if you can find it.

The code link doesn't work though for this one, but the manual is near the bottom of the page.
Not the same, look closer, closer please
Parallax actually sent me all of the files (gerber, drill, etc) for the board and I have sent them off to a board manufacture to make the board!
Cost is about $30.00 per board. Now to get the parts... Anyone have any idea of the value of the potentiometer is? I'm guessing maybe 500k
ohms?
David
Daphyl01,
The documentation calls it an LCD contrast control, and in the Nuts and Volts articles using an LCD it's 10K.
@Daphyl01, I sent you a PM regarding this thread.
I got the board back from the PCB maker. It is nearly the same as the pictures posted and the schematics for the
Demo board. The problem is that my new board is a Rev A board and the pics/docs are for a Rev B board. Mine
doesn't have but 2 resistors (missing the 1K pull up for the iButton and is missing all the support circuitry for the
iButton except J3 (the RJ11 connector). Other than that, I've installed most of the parts. I'm having problem finding
a breadboard that will fit in the 3 3/16" x 1 5/8" space allocated for the breadboard and the J3 (RJ11 connector)
Here is a pic of the board I now have...

Any idea what issue you found this in? I have the all the CD's that NV has created and a lot of magazines from
before and after they started putting the issues (including a LOT of Pop Tronics) on CD's.
Thank you,
Daphyl01
Something like this?
Thank you frida! Finding a small round 10K pot with three inline legs is proving difficult. But I have time. When I get this
board working, I'll post some finished product pictures.
Thank you everyone!

Daphyl01,
Nice job!
