This is an amazing, eclectic, generous mix of characters. WTG Publison! I've also received (offline) notes from some of the lurkers here, that once the bidding got out of their comfort zone, they went ahead and donated what they could spare, directly to IFM... (your secrets are safe with me - thank you!).
So yes Publison, some have already joined you :thumb:
You all rock!
Oh no, Jim! Please... I'm kidding, I'm good for the money! Whatever you send will be returned in cash or sensors!
A humorous sidenote, I looked at IFM's website. They take cars for donations. I considered the Corvair for one millisecond, but in its current state of "dormancy" that wouldn't quite cover my $335 bid!
Erco,
Please, add it to the donation. Maybe I'll take a laser from the Gold Mine purchase.
You and I both know that Corvair is worth more than $335 even as it sits.

You all are amazing. I love your creativity! There is no adequate way to express my gratitude for your generosity, whether it was bidding on the robot or other donations sent. On behalf of the over 3500 families registered with IFM who are struggling with food insecurity, THANK YOU. For those of you who have visited our website, we are in the process of updating it so stay turned for some changes, including photos of the remodeling process going on at our new site. We also have a Facebook page. Feel free to "like" us and you will get our updates.
WooHoo, package received yesterday with all the goodies plus an Easter egg or two. Thanks Matt, Ken & Parallax, now I really have no shortage of projects. In the unlikely event that LA gets snowed in for a month, I have plenty of parts and assembly to keep me occupied the whole time.
I'm rushing this week to make a Friday deadline for an article submission to SERVO magazine. Fun diversions like this package and last night's HackaDay beerfest aren't helping in the least.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this very creative fundraising event. I wish I could explain the hope that is brought to the families and individuals who walk through the doors of Interfaith Food Ministry. When they receive food, purchased with donations like yours, they often take a deep breath and know that this is a good day, a day when food is not something they have to worry about. Maybe some of you have experienced hunger…if so then you know what a small kindness can do. Thank you for being a small kindness in the lives of families in our little Grass Valley community. You have encouraged and blessed me.
Sue: Happy to help, but Matt, Ken & Parallax deserve the lion's share of the kudos for their generosity. Knowing how to tease & tickle our buying bones helps.
Thank you for your warm description of IFM's mission to use funds to distribute food to the hungry. The bit raised here is small, but every dollar, and mouth fed, makes a difference. God bless you and the fine work you continue to do.

Yeah, that's the ticket! It's not a robot, it's a conveyance!

Good to know Matt!
Yeah, that's the ticket!
