You mean to tell me that I started all that just by asking for a different color? :-)

BTW... I think this is a perfect example of why I love Parallax... I asked for a different color and, bam... in two days it was done. Simply awesome!

I didn't mean to imply a custom image would be worth $5, just some pre-defined parallax images such as the beanie. You could almost have a complete side business doing custom images.

Be careful when you "punch out the access holes". Do not take this literally as it may break like mine did, especially over the keyboard connector as it is particularly weak there. You may end up with a break.
Of course, if i had followed the directions, I would have put the protoboard in the case in step 2, before punching out the connectors in step 5.

Excellent attempt and it caused a good laugh. Sometimes we may just have to recognize such efforts!

    Hey all -
We've enhanced the Propeller Proto Board Enclosure...
    Now it holds...

The Propeller Proto Board (naturally!), plus:

The Basic Stamp Super Carrier Board
The Board of Education (BOE) USB version, and
The Board of Education (BOE) Serial version.

We accomplished this by adding two additional panels with different cut-outs allowing access to the features on these other products.

    HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!

We can't call them "Prop Proto Board Enclosures" any more...They're soooo much more than that.

    Any suggestions?

(Yes, this is a contest! The winner will receive an all expense paid 2 week vacation to Hawa....Oh, hi Ken! I didn't hear you come in. Let me post this, and I'll be right with you...

Um... Ok, the winner will get (1) brand spankin' new, hot-off-the-press enclosure in your choice of color!).

ProBoe Enclosure should about cover it.

BTW, I prefer Kauai, if that can be arranged.

    Parallax Multi Board Enclosure.

I thought about this one, but it sound like you can enclose more than one board inside. That's why I did not proposed it, and that's why your should not win the price, but me! ;)

    Why not:

"Multi-Purpose Enclosure"? You can conjugate it with "Parallax" before or after. Same for board.

    Like "Parallax Multi-Purpose Boards Enclosure".

I tried to make one sounding like "P.A.R.A.L.L.A.X." but was not able ;)

PS: I forgot to say, my prefered one will be the blue ;)

Thanks so much. I PM'd you, but I forgot to mention that it was clear.
That is service that I really appreciate about parallax. Once when my son lost the ball wheel from my boebot, I called to see if I could buy another one, and they just sent me one for free! I can't wait to break my C3 ;^) Just kidding!

For my vote, I like Phil's ProBoe Enclosure.

    Here's the Serial BOE configuration:

    attachment.php?attachmentid=74600&stc=1&d=1287680784

...here it contains the Super Carrier Board...
    attachment.php?attachmentid=74601&stc=1&d=1287681483

...and here's the USB BOE (notice it's the same piece as the Serial version, except that the knockout is not "knocked out").
    attachment.php?attachmentid=74602&stc=1&d=1287681483

What the pictures don't show is that there are now two "switch" knock-outs on one of the long sides. By knocking out the appropriate hole, you can access the power switch on either the Propeller Proto Board or the switches on both versions of the BOE.

And I should mention that these new additions should be available Real Soon Now - next week-ish. Current stock should be updated with these new pieces also, so if you want to use one of these for anything other than a Prop Proto Board, wait to buy until the Product Pages announce the updated features.

Now you have to sell a 90 degrees adaptor for the 9V battery to have it vertical ;) Or will the standoff avoid that?
