I thought maybe I'd be the only one coming all the way from the East Coast, but I see there's a couple other crazies out here...

I'm looking forward to seeing Mike Green. I wasn't sure he was a real person, but seeing is believing!

I did a fair amount of internet research to verify that Mike Green is an actual person,
not just a forum account which Chip or someone was using to answer questions.

Thanks to Mike Green, I also believe in Santa Claus again.. :)

Hmm... I suppose he could be both a real person and an account that Chip or someone answers with...

But, I like Santa Claus, so maybe I shouldn't ask any questions...

OBC: "Thanks to Mike Green, I also believe in Santa Claus again.."

Hmmm...Let me see:
1) You believe in Santa.
2) Santa does not exist.
3) You believe in Mike Green.

That does not convince me of the existence of a human Mike Green:)

No, I think a Mike Green is a instance of a cunning, self aware, AI program that Chip came up with that runs on a Propeller. How else would it know so much about being a Propeller?

....Sorry Mike:)

@Thanks Ken!

Tent confirmed! Bring your robots we will have run space!

OBC

Will there be a dry spot for robots? Is there a safe place to run a robot with twice the power/weight of the quadrover? I'm not sure if I can bring Black and Blue yet but will see, part of it depends on how much I can get done on it over the next couple days.

@pi'd - yes, we have several dry areas to run really big robots. If you've got a robot that you would like to demonstrate outside we can park it by the entrance, too, and run it around outside. If it's twice the size of a QuadRover then we'll probably keep it outside since the office will be packed with people. But don't worry - inside and outside are only a few feet away.

William, in your view what would be the best location for a SE Asia Prop Expo?

OBC would be in for quite the adventure.

@Ken and I have been in discussion over the last year off and on about some overseas expo stuff...

I can tell you I'm pretty sure it will happen at some point, but uncertain to the time frame.
We are always open to suggestions, comments, and requests regarding UPE "East" :)

Thats good--there's no way I would allow it to run inside. Hopefully I can bring it, I'm already planning to have demo videos of it up in the robotics forum by the weekend.

Now that I am in transition to the Propeller, as I have 2 Propeller Demo Boards, UPE "East" sounds great!

I live in Maryland.

I've mentioned the idea of a UPE in Asia, however I haven't had time to coordinate it myself. I'd certainly be a resource for helping to coordinate the event. I currently live in Singapore, but Hong Kong is also an option.

Um, guys, before we start planning on Asia could we maybe think of the SOUTH? I couldn't get decent airfare to this UPEW because I waited too late to try so I'll probably hold out and do UPEW next year because none of the other UPE's are much closer to New Orleans by air. And we have some really nice facilities here. And if you hold it in the winter the weather's usually even nice. And we could really use the business hint hint hint.
