Manchester would work for me as well (cheaper to get to than London) and Manchester Uni is pretty close to Manchester Piccadilly Rail Station.

As an alternative setting/venue I see a Manchester Fablab is opening soon, not as central as the Uni but I sure the FabLab guys would love to play host to us.
