To those who have won, please tell me by Monday what you would like to do with your award credit. After Monday I'm going to get really busy and won't have much time to manage e-mail and PMs. Between UPEW, a physical inventory count and a few days of vacation, June will vaporize quickly.

microcontrolled, I had no idea you were so young. I am thrilled you are happy.
FYI: I never give hoping selfishly for some kind of luck or payback, but it is interesting that I got a
call about a job interview no more than 15 minutes after I requested that redistribution of credit.
What do you think I should spend it on? I am thinking of a Demo Board since all I have is a homebrew one that breaks down periodically....... I DO however have a hydra that I got for Christmas. Which would do if you had access to the I/O pins. Since I have the Hydra do you think I should get the Demo Board? Another thing I've been wanting to get my hands on is the uOLED display, so what do you think?
P.S. If there is anyone else out there that is my age can you let me know?

Yes, RubrChicken is your age but he's been getting hardware for free until I cut him off pending visual confirmation of his autopilot under flight. Personally, I'd get Prop Proto Board USBs + Demo Boards. You can't have enough Prop Proto Boards laying around for the various projects you want to undertake. Before you take a project to a permanent board, it's nice to breadboard it on the Demo Board.
The PE Kit is a good product for you, too. It's over your $62.50 budget but I can bend the rules.
All I ask is that you make up your mind pretty quickly.
I think that I will make up my mind pretty quickly and that is what I had my eye on anyway. I will think about it a little longer but I think I will go with the PE kit.
THANK YOU AGAIN VERY MUCH!!!!!! THIS IS THE MOST EXITING EXPERIANCE IN MY LIFE!!! It is as memorable as when I bought my first Electronic Kit and when I got a Boe-Bot(starting my love of microcontrolers and Parallax.)
ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Is RubrChicken the one who posted the picture of your Digital Thermometer?

My first Propeller based board was a Hydra. After some initial excitement it sat around collecting dust (as it does today mostly). But I have many distractions :) The main reason I have protoboards is for adding devices for projects. The Hydra is much less flexible than a demoboard or protoboard, but great value can be derived from it especially with that excellent Hydra book and disk ... I assume you have found the "Black Art of 3D Programming" on the CD and read it by now.
If I had $62.5, ambition, a Demoboard schematic, patience, and the desire to learn, I would buy this list:
Copy the DemoBoard schematic with these components (except the audio chip, VGA, Mouse, and Keyboard·connectors) and experiment.
Sorry it took so long to compile my list (oh man I hate tabs). You will be happy with the PE Kit. Member tpw_man is 12 now I think.
Congrats to all the winners especially the biggest one - Parallax!
Somehow I can't see other manufacturers taking the same approach, kudos to you Ken et al.

@CounterRotatingProps: Get the PPDB, I do not own one but I have looked at it and it looks like it would be everything you could possibly need once you know Propeller code. If my budget allowed I would get a PPDB without even considering it! I have a job this summer that will get me about half of what I need but i'm cheap and probebly wouldn't buy it even if I did have the money!

I already told him I would most likely use the Demo Board more and he shipped it today. I told him to get the PE kit and then changed my mind. Is that the wrong thing to do? I use most of my projects with mouse keyboard and TV and maybe another input, and I saw that the PE kit dosn't do this.

You can stop worrying about it. As a former 14-year old, I knew this would be an agonizing decision for you when you started to flip-flop between the two options. Therefore, we just included both things you were thinking about: the PE Kit + Demo Board. No need to worry about it - you're really set up with the best of both worlds now.

It's no big deal, guys. Not trying to draw any attention to us, I promise -- just trying to do the right thing here. We believe that a successful company should give back to the customers.
Funny thing about free hardware is that many companies look at as a real big expense, so they elect not to give anything away. Oh my - a $50 board was just given away. They'll sit around and talk about the expense of a $2000 hardware give-away, but instead spend $2000 to hold the meeting to discuss the topic (what's their burdened hourly rate for such decision-makers?). It's particularly difficult for a big company to give anything away. The established rules and departments introduce barriers to practical communication, and little gets accomplished for the customer sometimes. . . fill out this paper, complete this form, get so-and-so's approval, etc. Also of interest is that a $50 board doesn't cost us $50 - always less than half of that price is what we pay. No trade secrets here.
We always expect that our individual staff can make a decision to your benefit without anybody's approval, even if we add our 38th employee.
