@BH, I already have the foundation for a VB like Spin GUI maker, I just need time to get back to it.
Your concept to drag and drop objects would be easy to do with a PC app. One could even allow a provision for adding method calls in a main program. Marked up objects may be required, but the resulting documentation would be helpful in other ways too.
I wasn't criticizing you for bringing up the discussion point here; just thinking you could start a new thread for this.
Remember me? The guy the kicked off this off?
I have a next step for you. I have my hands on a wireless wi-fi module that is perfect for integration with the propellar.
Would you be interested in my mailing this module to you?
My third phase will involve real-time speech recognition. Hang in there folks.
My recovery from the strokes has been accelerating each day and I am almost functioning at a level suitable for originating and integrating my ideas with tools, such as microprocessors and soldering irons. I used to be a computer scientist, now I cannot even spell it. Small victories is all I can say.

Of course I can't turn that down... I'm working on something along this
line as well. Can't say more than that, saving it for UPEW.

Awesome! Glad to hear it! Just finished phase two of my laser capsulotomy this morning (expected in 40% of cataract surgery cases.) It was getting pretty hard to solder of here as well. Small victories win the battle! Keep going!
Configuration requirements are on the homepage.
(If it looks weird, it's formatted for display on the Prop.)
At the moment it should compile code which requires Propeller Tool
library objects. I'll be adding refinements and testing over the
weekend. I'm working some server kinks out right now.
Other features are hush for now.. :)

You'll be able to do a lot more than simply remote compile. :)

I've setup a permanent server at the following address:
spin.warrantyvoid.us:8080 or
propeller.ath.cx:8080
Configuration requirements are on the homepage.
