No USB?!? Not too usefull with new PC's or Laptops although I do keep a few of the old ones around for Parallel port programmers.

    Extra parts to be purchased.

Are there only 8 I/O pins available for use off-board?

I think the eeprom is under the 40pin prop dip. Why not ask futurlec?

Maybe, but they also don't mention it in the features list

Looks like you can't download the schematic for the board. That's lame. I wonder if Futurlec even gives you a schematic if you buy the board. I wish it had a header for unused I/O ports though.

Notice the top of the page says "Coming soon" but next to the ORDER button it says "Available now". I emailed Futurlec asking them if the board is in-fact available now and for details regarding the EEPROM (if-any).

I tracked down the ETT logo I noticed on the board and that leads to a Thai company www.ett.co.th/index.html and also at www.etteam.com/.
I couldn't see the Prop anywhere so I had to download (downThemAll) all the individual catalog PDF pages and kept searching through them until I found this one.

Can you read Thai? Nah, didn't think so, but it definitely has a 24LC256 EEPROM (why would you think otherwise).

For those who can't read Thai (what's wrong with you) I ran the text from the ETT brochure through Google and it's readable.
I like the very last sentence.

    Hi,

I noticed that is says it has a MAX232. Hopefully it is just the generic "description", but it is really a MAX3232. Will the MAX232(5V chip) work well with the propeller anyway?

    Thanks,
    Doug

Two days since I sent my questions regarding this board to Futurlec... No response. Not even an auto-responder message. Not good.

    Dave,

Maybe this isn't a schematic but the image from the ETT catalog is nice and clear in case you hadn't realized it. With a picture like that I could just about draw a schematic for it but why bother because we have enough info already.

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for posting the picture; I missed that one. Now I can see the ten pin header with eight GPIO ports brought out. Yup I think we know enough about this puppy by now. BTW Futurlec still never replied to my email - even after a second transmission. Dead channel.

    Regards, David

It looks very similar to the object of this thread from Sept. of last year...

I have acutallly puchased one of these boards a few months ago from a Thai company. I haven't done anything with it yet. This is the manual that came with it.· I also used Google to translate it.
