P2 - HDMI and Waveshare 5" display
Hi, I have a 5" round waveshare hdmi display and I have the P2 running the the spiral hdmi demo, it works on a normal hdmi display but doesn't work on the waveshare. I know the display works as i plugged it into RPI. Any thoughts on why the waveshare won't display it? -

I prefer the KISS module approach; add only what you need. My preferred approach is to use the precious resources of the Prop for time critical stuff. An RPi Pico is dirt cheap for a front-end. MMBasic just keeps getting better (HDMI, USB keyboard, mouse, etc.) ESP32 for comm's: BT, WiFi, Lora, ESP-NOW, Ethernet. -

Yeah I know, but it's also useful as a portable device. I also want to make that external converter box I can hook to a TV and send VGA converted to HDMI (via a 3m long USB-C cable). Then you can sit back and play on a TV tethered using the handheld as a controller. -

There's also a Component2HDMI box, I think the Simplecom numbers are CM505 (the CM501 does reverse direction). Might be interesting to open one of those and see which chipset it uses, and if they still use MS9288, does it have an eeprom configuration.
