My daughter has asked for a robot kit and I would like to get something Propeller based, but I don't think Parallax has any Activity Bots in stock (it looks discontinued). What would be a good second option?
Got a mechanum kit off Amazon and made some driver boards for it. Probably drive with P1 board…
Haven’t found time to assemble yet though…
Something like this, perhaps -- but with a custom P1 or P2 controller. -- https://www.amazon.com/LAFVIN-Mecanum-Project-Compatible-Arduino/dp/B0CMD2JG7Z/
That is more complete than mine… looks like might be good…. Hard to tell with so few reviews..
Posted about plans here:https://forums.parallax.com/discussion/178020/small-mechanum-bot
Still need to wire it up
https://www.parallax.com/product/cyberbot-robot-kit-with-microbit/ As far as I understand, there is a P1 onboard which does the low level stuff! The strength of the system lies in the learning support: https://learn.parallax.com/book_collection/cyberbot-tutorial-series/ Cheers Christof
