I can frustratingly agree with these guys. I just spent the whole night wrestling with the locks, to have just read the replies. My attached program does what they say (using the locks) and runs only once. I have to reset it to get it to update a new value. It is now too late to implement mikes concept. I will definately do it tomorrow night and post another update. I'll be happy to see how/if you get it too. Need sleep now.
After reading what Paul said......I think I will find a different way to do it. I thought it was more like a lock bit that could be checked without clearing it. I hadn't read the manual about the lockxxx commands. Glad I didn't go through all of that. I would have been majorly distressed and confused.
