That saved me some midnight oil, as I really want to deal with the hardware issues right now. And I'll be honest, I've not had the chance to look at Jeff's files yet due to another project. But due to your input I'm gonna put in the jumpers anyway just so's I'll have a working propeller until we do figure out how to jump hoops.
It just accured to me though, I could let the propeller keep the serial port and just let it write to my curcuit. That would spoil the fun of hoop jumping though.
