Sorry about that but I couldn't help myself. As someone else pointed out, this shows the failure of our school systems. This 13 year old has some fantastic (maybe unrealistic, but that's okay) ideas, but cannot even communicate. And in 5 years he will graduate and then what is he going to do ? Sad...Very sad.

As long as we've hihacked this fully to an editorial thread:
I think in addition to the schools systems, a fair amount (most) of the blame belongs with the parents.· There is a responsibility to assure that your children are being prepared for the world, and depend blindly on the schools to do their job.· Even if the parent's skills are not "up to par" they should still be able to realize that a problem needs to be addressed, and either work with the school, or other resources, to fill the gap.· Sadly, our schools have limited resources, some teachers have limited desire and/or motivation, and there are too many "easy" ways to direct those resources.· If a student chooses not to apply themselves, and the parents don't get involved and make some noise, why should the school direct attention there, when there are other students and parents actively seeking out the resources?· (Don't say "it's their job".· I know it is, but they are human, and even with the best of intentions will focus resources and effort where there is recognition and reward (monitary or otherwise)).
Keep in mind this focusing the responsibility on the parents is coming from a DINK (dual income, no kids).
Batman - I am here to help... I just ran your post throught the BatTranslator... for all who are following, here is the translation:
My sincere appologies for not taking the time to be more articulate. I will make every effort to ensure my posts are written with gramatical accuracy in the future. In the interim, I have requested a meeting with Commissioner Gordon to finalize the preliminary design specifications for the Batwave. I will post them momentarily.

John, I totally agree with you on this. Not many people feel that it is the parent’s responsibility. Many people think it is the schools responsibility and it's not. I push my 2 girls to do what they are able to do plus a slight push to keep them on their toes. My oldest daughter (8) is in GT class and there is no way she could have achieved that with out us working with her constantly. We also encourage thinking and not just give the answer or any hints. We want them to know their stuff as best as they can because the better they do early in life, the easier life will be later on. I am not the smartest dad and I had a hard time in school, perhaps this is why I have such a strict policy with my kids regarding study habits and effort.
Hey - lets keep this thread on track... were talking serious bat stuff here. Batman - make sure you include if you want the batwave to run on AC (like what comes out of your wall socket) or DC (like a battery)... we need to account for this in the design.
after reading the first couple of pages on the link "The Batman" included in his first post and what has been said here i just hope that he is messing around and not actually like this in real life!(darn out of electron sponges, )
I went to RC Groups page and LOL through 6 six pages of people with WAY too much free time and had some small light shed on the state of today's youth. They can whip up web pages (soliciting for a buck), write 100s of games in VB without ever doing "Hello World", and can't communicate their way out of a paper bag (or into a term paper I'll bet). And very likely, some day, we'll be working for someone like him.
Yes, Virginia, it's a wild and wacky world, fer sure.
Sorry, I just had to chime in at the risk of making it a three page thread.
My little brother when he was between 7-12, would steal alot of my switches that I stole off various projects and misc things. I wasn't into microcontrollers, but I was into basic electronics, and automotive applications. They were the simply toggle switches, typically one pole, one throw simple switches from RadioShack, or stolen off old trash.
Anyways, he would take these switches, and steal a roll of duct tape, and duck tape the switches to his handle bars. Sometimes the switches were to turn on and off the lights in the back (reflectors), and sometimes they would shoot a gunk out of the front of the bike...othertimes they would make the bike airborne.... and better yet, when you activated certain switches in the right way, the bike would turn into a car.
A few years later he got much older, and still thought they were cool..... So, I thought ya know, I could actually make them do some of that stuff..... when asked if he wanted it to do that kinda stuff for real, (this was within the last 3 months) he said no, because then it would be limited to only doing that one thing, he couldn't make it do more stuff.
I wonder if this is the same as the BatWave, and the other technology.
Oh, and btw, we sold that bike for millions. We are now millionares.
If "The Batman" just wants the look, then it wouldn't take developing the actual ability, just a nice CNC machine. After all, hollywood can make it happen, right?

I have come to you this day to anounce that this Batwave project was started when i was 12 years old. On Jan 04 2005 was when the batwave dream began. Since That day it has been my Goal and Hobby to get the project done. I have Researched about OS,PDA,Batwave, and OS Application for a long time. i have reseached over 1 million times, thats why ladies and gentlemen i dont bother about my spelling, comprehension, and sentence in any Internet Forum.
when i was 12 i made a metal detector by taping rc-car parts to a 36" X 1/2" wooden dowel. i also taped a magnet to the tip and a sliding toggle switch (From the rc-car) to the other end.
i knew i was kidding myself but my friends fell for it anyway. it was at that moment i decided that i would be donatello when i grew up. then we went ride bikes.
So, you do have the skills to write proper english. The reason you'll get alot of flack on technical forums for using AOL-speak is because it is seen as a sign of disrespect. The majority of people on this forum that provide help are older and not from the AOL-generation, and therefore do not rely upon extremely abbreviated conversation. An unspoken expectation of these people is to receive respect in exchange for thier help, AOL-speak indicates youth and a general lack of reverence (yes this is a stereotype), so it raises the hackles of the older people to see correspondance in AOL-speak, the general reaction is: if they don't even care to ask clearly, how can they be serious about what they ask? Plus alot of us also don't think in AOL-speak, so we have to sit there and try to decifer what you are saying.
Anyways, looking forward to seeing what features you want to be in your bat-wave.

SOL... 17 cents is not going to get you anywhere with your project. We still have no clue as to what your goal is, or what the heck you are doing. You spent $21.35 on what? and for what reason?
Like my mom always said when trying to get details from me... "Do I have to pull teeth?"
Ladies and gentlemen i spent $21 dollars on a Hovercopter, that was used on my inovation for the Batmobile, which i will concentrate on later in 2007.
The Batwave is a device that receives Police Radio (F)
Like my mom always said when trying to get details from me... "Do I have to pull teeth?"
I sent a private message asking (amung other things) to get the dear lad to finish the sentance:
··· A "Bat Wave" is a divice that...
I don't know what we can do to make it clearer to the young man.· What amazes me, is that there are still people here who WANT to help him, but he just won't let us.

Yeah Im at the end of my rope, Batman I compliment your desire, but you have a bad habit of not listening. Every last thing you listed is just an existing product (something I said not to do), Im done chastising. I just have one last thing to say, and if you listen to anything I hope you'll listen to this: "Recreating an existing product will always cost you more than just buying the product" Sometimes there is an exception (see the thread of a guy trying make a stamp project to replace a piece of equipment that is $30K), but for anything that you can pick up at your local radio shack its best just buy it. I understand you want something integrated, but it won't be worth the time and money to do it yourself (learning electronics, embedded programing and·CAD design (for packaging)), just for the wow factor of having an integrated product. Now if your batwave was a vehicle tracking device like you mentioned once, thats something you cant pick up at a radio shack, its inventive (but not unique), and the type of thing well suited for DIY electronics. Anyways, if you come up with something that fits the above criteria, I'll contribute where I can, but I have nothing to add to product integration (other than a $0.99 roll of duct tape (RedGreen Rules! ))

Actually my last piece of advice: I understand what you want (the broader concept), and to do that you should purchase a PDA, a good one with a Compact Flash (CF) slot. Learn how to program it (so try to find one that is a popular one for hobbyist to program, Im sure there is somewhere on the internet they congregate to talk with each other). Then after you've created as many games you want, start researching the compact flash specifications. Then design CF modules that plug into the PDA and write the programs to interface with the module (like a police scanner module, etc). I really think this is your best bet.
I've decided to waste a half hour here, needed a laugh.

I don't know what to say about this kid! I don't want to be mean....but Batman...you need to make your list and then pick ONE item to start with.
Building blocks...stepping stones...choose one thing and build it from there!
Seems like you keep adding things to your idea!!
I'll give you credit....you did type a fully readable message.
However, if you typically don't have the patience to type out a legible reply, then how the heck are you going to manage creating this "BATWAVE" device from scratch?
You just going to jump on some forum and post some un-intelligible request and have 3pages of posts asking you what you're talking about!
Trust me, there's people here that are more than willing to help....and it doesn't even have to be a parallax related product you're using!
If you had properly written out what you wanted and how you wanted to procede, then you would have gotten more productive answers on the first page..and yet, here we are on the 3rd page of posts and we still don't know what you're after!
Next you'll want a device, like in Star Trek, that will scan a persons body and tell you what's wrong with them!!
Batman....babysteps....take things in babysteps! You don't paint a room by tossing a handgrenade in a bucket of paint!!

·
The real problem is that even after your over 1,000,000 times of research, you still don’t seem to have (or have not communicated) a clear idea of what the heck you are talking about.
·
I have yet to see a clear definition on this forum of what a “Bat Wave” is, and at this point, I’m almost afraid to ask.· To expect others from this forum to go to your other sources, and try and interpret you ramblings and “coded language” there is unrealistic.
·
As a more constructive and direct piece of advice, and probably bordering on inappropriate editorial comments:
·
The world does not work on your terms.· You have to work on the world’s terms.· This means that in some places your “internet language” of spelling and grammar may work fine. ·In other places, it will not work, and will in fact, turn away the very people you are asking for help from.· Twelve, and now almost thirteen, is not to young to expect this basic concept to be realized.
·
As a person who manages others at work, and has worked with a wide range of people of various ages, it is incomprehensible to me the attitudes of some people, and the attitudes of young people (under 25 in general, and especially under 21) is truly mind boggling. ·They tend to have little or no real world experience, and yet think the world should conform to their expectations and work on their terms.· After all, they are “entitled” to it.· And with that, I better stop, before I go too far…

All I can say is that it's Friday, it's lunch, and that I'm trying to give a solution to a problem.
Hopefully this thread will be wrapped up in 20 pages or less. I've given my suggestion, and
now I'm done.
As for OWSBSN! hmmmm..... I misspelled my name

Am I the only one that thinks this kid is the infamous MMISCOOL?
This thread and the RC thread both reek of his handywork.

Other than hockey!

But because i named it the batwave do not mean people start saying am joking.
If your watch batman you should know what the batwave does.
If the batwave was Tranformed this is what it might look like.
One the top, BatWave. On the bottom, Sony Clie TH55 with WiFi, Bluetooth, camera (can work as a wireless spy-cam), hardware MPEG-4 decoding, 72-hour mp3 playback from a single charge, BatWave wallpaper. See where I'm going with this?
