Propeller tool not starting on Windows 11 laptop

in Propeller 1
....it was working fine but today the app closes when trying to start-up, even after a complete re-install.
tried poking about with settings and running as admin etc, any suggestions what to check on?

Meanwhile I downloaded PropellerIDE https://github.com/parallaxinc/PropellerIDE/releases/download/0.38.5/propelleride-0.38.5-amd64.exe, managed to open and load my MIDIBEAT project.
If you're comfortable with RegEdit you can remove the Propeller section from the register and restart the program. I had to do this once. That said, you'll have a better experience with Spin Tools from Marco Maccaferri. It's what Propeller Tool should have become but never did, and it runs on all major platforms.
