So that's what those stickers are for. I remember reading about this years ago. Since then I have seen the stickers a couple of times and wondered what the deal was. Thanks.
And then there's Mazlo, the $350 DIY CNC which uses BYOB technology. That's Bring your own BRICKS. Yeah, for weight. Also uses bike chains. Pretty clever! Whit could cut mArlo chasses all day long.
The sticker tapes are so that the machine can keep track of where it is. I think one serious problem with this idea is that the material must be absolutely flat for it to work. You can't just lay a panel across a couple of sawhorses, it needs to be held down or at least well supported so that it doesn't bend or bow when cut.
