resetting PMB-648 to a known state

Upon arrival I was reading the NMEA output just fine. Then I played with some commands and I think I may have changed to binary format, as I can no longer read anything ASC at any baud rate. Any way to return to factory settings?

There's a few threads on this forum that seem to address your situation. I found several just by throwing PMB-648 at Google. A fair amount of sample code as well!

It's a SiRFstarIII chipset, so there is much info on it as @pmrobert said.

At least baud rates revert to factory if you leave power off long enough for it to have to reboot.
