A $5 RPi!!!..... ok so there not quite the same but you could connect a few small attinys to this and it would be as much as one $8 propeller!!!!
I know none of us fanboys are gonna ditch the prop... but still how is a complete embedded PC now cheaper than a single micro? When I first got in to electronics I the beagle board XM was the only thing in town like a Pi and it was $150 bucks, now were down to $5!!! I bought a pi and I have never used it basically because I cant recreate a PCB and im not going to spend 30 bucks on every project that needs one, but now you can stick a pi in anything, for cheaper than one propeller >:|

There's another discussion going on about this at http://forums.parallax.com/discussion/162879/pi-zero-a-5-computer
The best part to add to a PiZero, is something like the new EFM8LB1 (from $0.8484/100) - that has 12b DACs and 12b ADC and PWM and fast UARTS (etc), for the same price region as some ATtiny's
What this will shake up a little, is the Eval-board-space expectation, and this header form factor may displace Ardunio.
The Arduino pin layout is broken making it hard to drop a proto board onto it. An accident in the original layout apparently, too late to fix after it went to production.
Of course, you can stay on 0.1" and indicate a right way around too, with very little effort..
