One problem is finding who the owner is, now that the site is down. The "phone verification" presumably does ring their phone, but they may not know what its all about
Great business model
What content do you miss exactly?

It'd be good, as a community, to work out where to park these kind of community based things. It needs to be free if possible, or at least paid up a long way into the future, so its not reliant on any one individual. While wikispaces has been good and served the need at the time, their current site doesn't fill me with confidence that they're the way forward
Could github do it?
Edit: Good news! I was able to sign up for a free trial. So this site is open, and I've requested both an HTML and PDF export.
If you want to mirror this thing, I suggest you do so NOW and share with the others here. Exports take a few minutes. I'll post it up here somehow when I am able to fetch and verify them.
Looks like our upload limits are conservative again, here are Dropbox links:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/4krdj554vnx8qnq/propeller_20141227-HTML.zip?dl=0
No images in these, but the PDF is pretty nice. Maybe somebody can import it and add images...
Re: Where to do this?
I suggest GitHub. It's not as easy and formatted as a Wiki is, but I see lots of people doing docs in GitHub. Would not be all that tough to move this there.

https://github.com/dougdingus/propeller-wiki/wiki -- Feel free to use that one. I may explore moving the Wikispaces content.
I didn't see that. Well, we are good to go then. Just need to park it all elsewhere. Do you think a WikiText export would help?
That would allow easy conversion to markdown as used by github:http://johnmacfarlane.net/pandoc/index.html

Should be good in a few minutes.

PH,
Thanks for all that work!
edit: mmm looks like all external links are removed. Will need to be added
edit 12-30: If anybody wants access rights, get a github account and mail me, github as the email address
Started with cleaning up the wiki: bold formatting, anchors and externa links (seem to have messed up something though ) and noticed that not all data has been extracted. None of the referenced code is included in the dump. Potatohead, you still have access and can get the code?
I found the code embedded in the HTML extract you provide earlier. See if I can get those out.
