Kinda fun, several patterns and sequence questions. My score attached, so clearly it's off by 40 points or so... :)

I only got 128. You are smart, erco!

You're a cut above Erco, but we all knew that already! The test was fun but I could only pull off a 126.

    Thanks,

    Tim

Pretty easy test but still managed to miss a few, 128.

134....wonder what my "real" IQ is? I didn't think I got any wrong, maybe 134 is as smart as you can be.

I hit 134 the first time and 128 the second time!!!! Go figure. My 13 year old granddaughter hit 124.

I seem to be in the middle of the pack around here! I got a 128 but have to admit to having more then a couple of drinks with coworkers before taking the "test". I don't know if that means I should add a few points for it or subtract a few for it.

I let my lucky die take the test:

    attachment.php?attachmentid=110528&d=1408498012

'Didn't even look at the questions; 'just rolled for an answer until it was less than or equal to the maximum choice. 'Got 120! Woohoo! Yay, lucky (and smart) die!

The true test of intelligence is to close the page after the test and not go on to be sold something you don't need!
    132.

"Cough" I did it again and got everything wrong and still got 98. Do you get points for just reading the questions?

I took it twice more. On my tablet, left thumb versus right thumb (whichever was closer was the answer they chose) left thumb - 112 and right thumb - 110
Maybe I got points just for having opposable thumbs. I should let my cat try it on the tablet.

Got 112 but didn't care :) Bennet's mechanical comprehension test is much better. Unfortunately, no free version online.

134... I suspect it is enough to qualify for Mensa as I already did that. But I didn't like the smugness of that crowd.

    I knew I wasn't stupid, just a bit idiotic...

Being one standard deviation above the norm is not too significant. But if you were three standard deviations from the norm, you would really be something.

Just maybe the 134 represents a bit over two standard deviations. It all depends on which IQ scale the 134 represents.

I got a 132, but since everybody did well, I don't feel that special :)

Considering the scores, this does explain why I feel the Parallax forums are special.

I am a bit disappointed that Phil (PhiPi) rolled his die rather than provide a real score. He (along with a few others) seems way ahead of me. Even if his IQ is not significantly higher, his EQ certainly is along with precision.

    53 is good, right?...

To be honest it was only 43, but I gave myself 10 extra points for getting my name right.

The problem with these type of IQ tests are that as soon as you ever take just one of them, you are biased from taking any other similar test in the future because you have a preconception of what the questions are. ... and most if not all of the ones online - are completely media driven.

    Yes, Tommay!

You did a good job. The score isn't important. The fact that you participated and tried *YOUR* best is all that really matters!

I think 53 is an amazing feat! -- considering that 98 is what you get when all the answers are wrong, and 120 is the score for picking them at random. Tommy, you have truly gamed the system! Congratulations! (Now where is that video that erco always pulls out for such occasions?)

I love that you all are being critical of the test and doing some experiments. IQ is not a perfect system, and online "IQ tests" certainly are not the best representatives of this system. I think this might be fun to show my intro psych students. I'll let them experiment with the test like some of you have done here.

Wow, I got 134 when I actually tried and then 122 when I went through as fast as I could without reading the questions clicking on whatever was closest to my cursor. Then again I tried always choosing the first answer and got 110.

98 seems to be the worst I can do.
