We are awaiting Private Messages containing mailing addresses from the aforementioned Winners.
Old Bit Collector is all I received so far...

I'm going to go through the private hoard of Prizes ...shhhhhh! Don't tell Ken! It's our secret...only you and I will know :innocent:

Edit: Whoops! Did I post that publicly? Where's the "Erase" key - I don't see it :blank:.

Ok.Let's make this "as plain as day" :-)

Everybody listed in the "Winners List" above gets a prize. I need to get your mailing addresses. So far I have only received (3) addresses.
How am I supposed to send you winners your prize if I don't have an address from you?

You can Private Message me through these forums, or you can email me at: mattG@parallax.com

    Don't be shy!

Whatever you do, Matt, don't send me a Toddler or a Quadrover. I expressly forbid it!

More specifically, do not send to:

It seems that there is one important piece of information that is missing, in the recent announcement - what idea or improvement for the Arlo has Parallax chosen to pursue at this time? It is nice to know the contest winners, but what Parallax is going to pursue is more important too know, just my two cents.

We're still in negotiations over that - but variations on the bump switch ideas and a charging/docking station I'm a big proponent of :) I'll throw the ideas on the Parallax wall, and see what sticks :thumb:

Yet that one, first voiced here by Nikos, didn't get an award. Or maybe you gave it the So Good It's A Silent Award award.

I'm guessing as all of these have been brought up before, the "winner" should be the first one to re-mention it. I seconded -- or maybe thirded -- Nikos' bumper switch concept, because I think it's the best of the bunch. Don't expect a prize myself, but Nikos even took the time to provide pictures of a workable design.

    Just sayin'.

Well that aint right. What's up with that Matt?

Hey, I like that idea of the first one to re-mention being the winner, not sure of the logic behind that though.

    Good catch!

Nikos I need your shipping address also (from all the way across the pond!).
gave it the So Good It's A Silent Award award.
    exactly!

and, so as to NOT dash anybody's happiness, we'll be sending prizes to both - my mistake :thumb:

    ...And the winners are:

    In no particular order...as follows...

rogersyd wins the "Subtle Humor Award" for his "A power-distribution system for such a bot would be great! .... oh wait...”.
    G.

Wow! This is awesome. My smart mouth usually just gets me in trouble. PM sent with address. Thanks!!!!

Seems to me all of these ideas have been put forth before, if not Arlo then for for MadeUSA and Eddie. Bringing them up again in a contest should be fair game, especially if the post includes a working example, as Nikos' did.

That's the kind of re-mentioning I meant, not the kind you and I did!

    Thank you Matt!
    It was a great brainstorming!
    All ideas are great!
I’m looking forward to see the bumpers as a product from Parallax manufacturing line. I’m sure that will be perfect, with the great quality that all Parallax products have!!!

Does Ken still have one stashed in his office? I thought the last one went to the East coast. Away from all the earthquakes. :)

C'mon. There's always an extra one stashed away. Quadrovers, Servopals, PDBs, Toddlers...
