Posting to forum a bit broken recently?

Just recently my browsers on various machines have started asking me if want to leave the page and warning edits will be lost when I want to submit a quick reply. I can say no and try again and end up with duplicate forum posts or can say yes and the post goes through anyway.
Looks like others are having this problem as I have seen some duplicate posts turn up recently.

When haven't commerical OSes been hostile to free OSes?
I do find that when I say 'yes' to leaving the page, my reply is posted to the Forum.
Initially, not wanting to loose anything I did not leave but then in the confusion ended up with duplicate posts.
Edit: Same again.
It feels like an asynchronous POST issue.

Edit -- posted twice. The page never left the edit view.

We will search for a different solution, until that time we'll call this an undocumented feature >.>
I've also moved the thread to support, and we will look more closely at this issue due to the level of annoyance it causes.
Sorry for the slightly disjointed posting you will experience until the issue is resolved.

Edit ... and Quick Reply is working again! Yay! Thanks, Parallax! -P.
FWIW, I posted this with quick reply, when I got the warning I cancelled (stay on page) and went advanced. Then I noticed that the post had already been sent. HTH
It seems like a server issue - maybe a time-out

Yes, the message gets sent. I was not trying to leave the page - I clicked the "Post Quick Reply" button and the warning dialog appeared.
During a previous incident, I tried to post the message again (not sure that it was sent) and the forum software said something about a duplicate message and I think provided a link to the message - it had been posted...
