We will pray for you, for a complete healing. Just curious, did you follow the health rule of resting your eyes periodically when using the computer? At times, I do so much intensive computer work that I need to set a timer next to me which will sound off an alert when it's time to give the eyes a rest. Otherwise, eye strain and pressure can build up and cause problems, imbalances and blow out the eye. Most people remain unaware of the lurking danger until it happens. This can also lead to leaking micro blood vessels and floaters which completely block fields of vision in patches and can lead to complete blindness over time.

I know exactly what causes this, and how to prevent it in the future.

The problem of spontaneous retinal detachment is nearly always caused by muons transmitted by aliens from the planet Theta. You can guard against these damaging rays with a properly formed Cranial Protection Apparatus (CPA), which I sell to friends only for $99 each, plus tax and shipping. They are hand made, one at a time, using only the best space age alloys available.

How did you get hold of that photo of the aliens from the planet Theta? The one on the left looks a bit fierce-some,one on the right has that "I'm in a rock band" posed look

I'm 18 yrs old on a police ride-along in Napa Valley...

Call comes in "Can you stop by and see Mary?, over"
"Affirmative. Matt, you get to meet Mary tonight. It'll be a treat"

We knock on the door. "Who is it?". "It's officer Bob, open the door Mary"

"Can't! Russians are beaming rays into our brains".

"Wrap some tin foil around your head, and then open the door Mary"

3 minutes later door opens...Mary's head is completely wrapped in tin foil - only eye and mouth holes.

Mary gives cop big hug, and says "Thank you so much for saving me again Officer Bob!" (I'm thinking "again"!?)

"Let's go save someone else now Matt, our work here is done" (ok, I added this last line ;-)

True story. Happened right near the intersection of Soscol and Lincoln in downtown Napa Valley. One of the reasons I decided to not go into law enforcment.

Sounds like what you do at Parallax on a daily basis too. I believe it.

I used to deliver prescriptions for a pharmacy in Sacramento when I was 16-18 years old. The job consisted of collecting up all the drugs, mapping out my route, and then going to 20 places to deliver them. You can imagine that people have prescriptions delivered for all kinds of reasons, and that they look forward to the delivery man sometimes as the highlight of the day. Mary was probably looking forward to you guys showing up.

Napa Valley? Didn't Ronald Regan close the Napa State Mental Hospital when he was governor of California? I have a tin-foil propeller beanie handy, just encase of in-coming visitors on all the asteroids droping out of space lately. The dog is really good with identifying aliens.

I also had a high school job of delivering prescriptions for a pharmacy, but in San Francisco. Yes, one discovers a lot of regular customers than never leave their home.

My interaction with the police in high school was quite different. I managed to back into a police car with the high school's driver's education car. My instructor was laughing to hard that the policemen just gave up and drove away. The two other student drivers could even finish their day's turn at the wheel.

    These things happen.

And finally I should be grateful they shipped the medication, I can guess when a little while ago telling him that my experience with Merck-Medco was pretty good, so I remember that word. when the moment he told me that even if they could reach the doctors' offices on New Year's Eve day,
