So sorry to hear of the loss. I still hurt from the loss of my beloved Sputz, who has been a giant empty spot in my life for nearly three years now. I know how deeply we grow attached to our pets, I do it every time and my heart is torn apart every time. But I go and do it again. Now Sattva is sleeping, sprawled out, half on my lap and half on the desk in front of me, as I type this. I really feel for you, and I am very glad to know that there are other people out there who can love their kitties so deeply, you created a blessed life for Browser.
Phil, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I'm sure both you and Browser were equally blessed with each other .I'm sure he'll be missed. I too have a 16 year old Siamese going through the same thing. Pets are a wonderful and are more part of the family than just being an animal and it is hard to let them go.
Thanks, everyone, for the outpouring of condolences and good wishes. It means a lot to me. Not having my buddy around will take some getting used to, but I'll be okay. And who knows? Another cat spirit may find its way into my life at some point in the future.
If you have pets at home, be sure to give them extra hugs. Their sojourns in our lives are all too brief.
So sorry to hear about your loss, I can definitely feel your pain. In the past 6 years I lost a cat to diabetes and one to unknown causes. Both were over 14. I think i am also near the beginning of your past few months with our 15 year old, Madison. As I type this, I am waiting for results of another test to determine kidney failure. Her vet visit on Monday left the vet saying "remarkable" in regards to her health check, but other signs point to a serious issue.
Broswer will surely be seriously missed on tbe forums.
Oh no! Phil, this is heartbreaking news. Ioana and I remember meeting Browser and it was clear that he was well-loved. We share your pain at his passing.
Phil, I've been away recently and haven't had much time to post, but I wanted to take time out to express my sympathies. I know Browser was a good friend and companion. Take solace in that he had such a good and long life with you. He was as equally blessed sharing a home with you, as you were blessed sharing it with him.
I appreciate that you have stepped in to fill the post as moderator previously held by Browser, RIP. No channeling? Big boots to fill, a unique perspective we will miss.

My Mom's cat, Molly, is also in mourning it seems. She is also 16.
She has never liked me, but I might try the shrimtz thing on her, to loosen here up.
It sounds like the little bugger was well loved. SHRIMP on the house tonight!

Thank you, Parallax, for honoring Browser's memory in such a heartwarming fashion. I truly am touched by it.

That is so hard. So many things just aren't the same any more. Please take my best thoughts. It gets better slowly...
You might be pleased to know however that Browser did fool me into thinking he was a human who particularly liked sounding like a lolcat

We should all be so lucky to live to the high end of our expected life spans.
