Nothing unusual about my height, but my wife is a bit over 72", which frequently makes her the tallest woman in the room.

In hands? and weight in stone?

Not exactly sure, since I am on the other side of the planet it may be a negative dimension.

    73 in.
When I took my stat course, the only calculators we had were Frieden rotary calculators!
Try doing a standard deviation on one of those!

I'm taking a statistics class, and need some numbers. Asking for height seems to be harmless - i could be wrong.

So, if you don't mind saying, how tall are you in inches or centimeters ?
    I'm 72" (inches) for example.

    Thanks.

Ha! Same here. That Frieden looks quite sophisticated. Hours were more like this:

Still managed to calculate square roots on that thing though.

I can get you a nice running standard deviation with just comparison, increment, decrement and a multiply:)

Is it really wise to volunteer such information on the web? Some whacko might be seeking out 71 inch persons that like electronics for something bizarre.

One has to watch out for those standard deviations.

75 inches or 1.905 meters tall. I'm outside the 95% design criteria for car seats, movie theater leg room, and vehicle ceiling heights. If I'm not knocking my head, I'm knocking my knees. Don't even talk to me about finding a 13 B shoe.

Being labeled a standard deviate makes me feel so........common!

I guess I am outside the standard deviation for hat sizes as I always have to ask for the largest size and it usually doesn't fit. I think I am a 9 5/8", but not sure.

Can't seem to see what this has to do with microcontrollers.

All MENSA members are one standard deviation or more. That explains a lot.

I think I am about 14 inches tall when I am flat on my back, does that help?

    Thanks for all the replies.

It's amazing that we don't have anyone 60" to 64" responding.
Most Asian women I've met are in that range (my wife included).

68" is my height! Not 60-64", but a little different from the other responses.

So that would then make you a "sub"standard deviation....

I am 62 inches tall (and approximately 64-66 in shoes).
Not Asian, just standard Western European American.
