I get to the airport around 4 to meet with Chip, and it's about an hour drive from there to the Hotel plus, add about 15-30 min to pickup a rental car.
Guys, I'm working on getting into the facility for setup between 4pm-5pm "ish" -- Should not be a problem, but am waiting for confirmation from the building supervisor.
I was planning on arriving in Sandusky between 5 and 6pm but I will probably try to get there earlier.
@OBC
How long do you think setup time would be with help? I checked Berry's website, they serve dinner from 11am to 9pm. I assume they are open later than 9pm, I'm not sure.
I'll be arriving at the location sometime around 4pm for setup.
Berry's has a connecting Pub that is open later. I suspect we can migrate if necessary. I think that is one of the reasons the Chamber recommended it to us. I won't be staying too late, as I have to be up at 6am the next morning to drive back up with the rest of the gear and expo crew.
If I can take the day (or half day) off Friday (not looking promising at this point), I'll be at the center at 4 to help set up and will figure out things from there if people congregate there before dinner.
If I can't get the day off, I'll probably be too late for dinner and will see everyone on Saturday.
HI Again,
Due to the nasty weather headed to New England, I will not be able to make it.
We are expected to get hammered Sunday AM, and I do not want to drive through it.
Our state ARES is activating on Saturday, so I need to stick around.
So if I go we will get smeared, and if I stay home it will be a gentle shower.
Better luck next year.
Have a goot time all.
Everyone meet at the Community Center about 5pm to help OBC set up if he needs any help and then we'll all go to dinner. That way OBC can join us this year for dinner. I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, see you there!
I will try to call Berry's and give them a heads up on people in the morning. I counted 16, but I better tell them 20 to be safe. I would like all of us to be able to sit together, plus I don't want them to freak when 15 or 20 people walk in at once. :-)
I didn't read this thread until now, after getting back from eating at a restaurant in Norwalk that apparently was the one chosen by you guys to meet at. I had guessed that this was the place after I heard the waitresses arguing about how they would accommodate a group of 27 people, and why would they all need separate checks.
Chip simplified the situation considerably for them.. Thanks Chip.
Rebekah and I completely enjoyed having dinner with you guys! Usually, setup has us working late,
but thanks to many hands we had things under control within an hour and half.
Rebekah and I are back in Orrville.. Time to grab to shut-eye and hit the road early to see you guys in the morning!
Yea, Peter and I just got back to our motel - spent quite a bit of time chatting away (my Irish gift o' gab, of course). We had a great time and the dinner was great - Thanks Chip!
It was sure fun to have dinner with you all and see everyone who came to the Expo. There were several people that I wanted to catch up with, but never got the time to. I was hoping to catch Chad George at the end of the show, but he slipped out too quick.
It really makes me feel good to associate with such a nice group of people, for whatever the cause. I hope to see you all again in the future.

From the looks of it http://www.eatatberrys.com/ is only about 2 miles from the hotel.

I should be in by 5.
Im going to try leaving Thursday afternoon from NH.
Where ever you want to go is fine with me.
See you then,
If I can't get the day off, I'll probably be too late for dinner and will see everyone on Saturday.
I printed out a half-dozen extras and will bring them for anyone who forgets or cannot print.
I am also taking Friday and Saturday off, and will be there early - should not be any trouble to get to the Community Center by 4:00.
See you guys then.

I really did look forward to chatting with all you guys over dinner. :-(
PS. Some of us went to Berry's for lunch last year, it was pretty good.
