If you guys can pick an affordable family-style place, like last time (where everything on the menu came fried), Parallax will pay for it. I remember most of us got the fish and fries. They were good!
I'll see if I can scout up something good for you guys.. Not sure if I can attend, as I'll be setting up, then heading back to Orrville to load up for morning.
Come on Beau, you sure you don't want to pick again? ;-)
I do think we need to find a different place. The folks at that restaurant last year where nice, but I think they could have thrown us out for keeping them up past their bed time. I don't know the area all that well, but I will do some searching too for any ideas.
"Come on Beau, you sure you don't want to pick again?" - Maw's place was it? .. anyway something like that.
It just didn't seem as good the second time as I remembered it the first, and some others felt the same way. Perhaps if we gave them a heads up, that might help, but I think we taxed their microwave oven last time. :-) ... I would be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt in that they might have had an off night or something.
What time is everyone meeting there and is there an address? I'm not sure yet if I am coming the night before or driving down early on Saturday morning.
Driving from Iowa, my wife and I might be able to make it if supper is ~7-8ish. I would vote some place other that Maw's; we weren't there, but I remember everyone talking about it the next day.
I don't know the area, does anyone know of any good restaraunts? I'll keep looking for prospects. I'll be staying in Sandusky about 10 miles north of Norwalk.
I can't make it to the dinner (I live close but have spousal obligations). However, I'm passing through there tomorrow (around a time I could stop and eat) so if anybody has a place they want me to check out or can give me some ideas of what you're looking for, I can do a food-recon and report back when I find Wifi....I'm headed off to a week's vacation with limited WiFi.
Come on guys, somebody step up and take charge of this thing! You don't need a place until you are ready to leave. All you need for now is an assembly point, a time, and a host. I always used my motel lobby after warning them of the motley crew that would be assembling there.
I'll miss having supper with you guys on Friday as well as the Expo itself.

Since I started the thread. I'll take charge and be the host. Alan Bradford, myself, and my friend Mike will be staying in Sandusky and the Comfort Inn.
5909 Milan Rd. US 2 &US 250, Sandusky, OH 44870
We can meet in the lobby there and then decide on a place to eat if that works fine for everyone. I'm also open to any other ideas.
@sailman58 Hope your enjoying Florida. I was glad to meet you last year.

I think we might be getting there around 7-8 (~13hr drive). Once you decide, can you please post the location on this thread? Thanks!
I'm just thinking here....since Berry's is in Norwalk, if we all met at the community center could we all be of help with setup and get your job done quicker?

You guys decide this time.
Yes, it was Maw's Place I believe.

I'm interested if I'm there. But, I'll probably also volunteer to help OBC set up if the timing works out.
I'm registered at the Best Western, by the way.

Berry's sounds great. If they have room, we would like to join the merry band.

We're in, my son and I will get there pretty early. What time do you want us at the Community Center?
