HMC6352 Compass Module turn into a magnometer?

Would like some help with this project,would like to turn the HMC6352 Compass Module into a magnometer, also with LED's for the + & - ,and also do actual real time Graphing.. Anybody help with this project?

I've never used a compass module, but I've always wondered if a Fluxgate Magnetometer could be made from one of these modules plus a Propeller chip hooked up to a VGA display and/or recording on an SD card. Some of the units seem capable of measuring changes in earth's magnetic field during magnetic storms, after solar flares, etc. and others can detect metal vehicles.

Also, there is this example that shows how the above units might be used.

But perhaps the compass modules are just as accurate???

maybe also the HM55B?

They should be good for this type of project,,the HM55B could also be used,,who here could write up some new code?? would like to have a circular plot and also a gauge type for the LCD serial?

For that module, there are some objects on the Propeller chip OBEX. See here. I think at least one of these displays on a TV, for example.
