It is a matter of etiquette. I never go to a thread that someone else started and stir up trouble like you. However, if I create a thread, I stick around and answer questions, etc... therefore I am the creator. I may not own it, but at least I will provide input. It is plain to see that you are a trouble maker and your true colors will shine through to other forum members. Have fun.

What was wrong with my suggestion? I thought it was a rather good idea.
Well with the title no one really knows the subject is copyright... The suggestion Leon had to create a thread with an accurate title is a good one. The best option would be to see if a moderator could go in and edit the title to make it relevant. Since we can't do that having a thread that people can recognized and find will work. The current title is pretty useless.
Even though you and Leon don't seem to see eye-to-eye I've seen quite a few threads where he has contributed and helped people out....
I guess you just can't see the forest through the trees. He really don't care about people reading that thread, he is just doing it to annoy me. Which shows his true colors. A trouble maker.
I really didn't see why the original thread was closed, and I can't believe this one has not been.
I agree with Leon with regard to the new thread that links to the original with an improved title, I don't think Leon is out to get you.
The "Mr Parallax..." title does not in anyway give the reader any idea what the thread is about, and in general use such titles seem to be used for open letters where the writer is complaining or criticizing the target of the title. That was obviously not the intent of your thread and your question was legitimate.
The direction of this thread is very atypical for what we usually see here, and has frankly become disappointing and a distraction from the usual healthy exchange of ideas.
I guess I missed that. ;-) Actually with all the snow we've got it's more like you can't see the trees at all. But that doesn't really have any to do with this thread.
Maybe I need to clean my glasses but it didn't appear that the posts that Leon made were just out to get you.
If you weren't so easily annoyed and so quick to react to it publicly, those who take a perverse pleasure in annoying you might find better things to do. For all our sakes, please grow a thicker skin. Your petty grievances are becoming a bit tiresome. It's gotten to the point that those upon whom you might be counting to help you with your programming will become less inclined to do so. That includes me, in case it matters.
Bruce appears to be in a majority of one! He can always add me to his "Ignore list" in Settings, then he won't see my posts.
Funny, that's exactly where he's at right now. I'm surprised so many people tolerate this kind of behavior. And his suggestion about not liking a thread or post then don't read it. Some people just never climb out of the sand box.
Like me and the rest of us, he's a guest here and ultimately it's up to the powers that be who remains and what privileges they have. I'm so glad I'm not a SYSOP (Mod) any more. Too much "he said this and he said that"!
This thread has been discussed by moderators and the conclusion is that it shall be closed on the basis of forum guidelines. I would encourage everyone to take a few minutes to review the guidelines for their own benefit. The guidelines are established by Parallax for all using this forum to grow the usefulness of the content within and when they are followed, everyone benefits.

I will title my threads anyway I like. Don't like it, don't read them.

I humbly disagree. I think it is a very useful thread for discussing "Well that was uncalled for"
