Does anyone know off hand what are the part numbers from Digikey or Mouser for the connectors to interface X1, X2 and X3 on the BS2 board?

Do a search for 0.1" break away headers. That should give you all kinds of stuff to look at.

You will need to choose the correct number of pins.

I've ordered the headers, the connectors, and the ribbon cable from digikey before.

you need male pin headers, shrouded or unshrouded. you can check the following links
