RC Time Connection Help/ Tracy Allen Schematic

Hello,

I have attached tracy allen's rc time to monitor battery voltage schematic but am a little confused on how to connect the Vx, the unknown voltage.

for example, if i am powering my stamp with a 9 volt battery, and i wanted to monitor another battery's voltage, would i connect the + voltage of the unknown Vx as shown in tracy's diagram, and the ground of that unknown battery which i am monitoring to the ground of the stamp.

Yes, that's right. Connect the grounds together and the unknown voltage to the Vx point.
