Bring your Propeller based ROBOTS for judging.! (Bring other bots too!)
I'll be there with two Propeller brained robots. I could also bring a hoard of Basic Stamp brained robots including autonomous sumo robots from 500 grams to 125 pounds.
I can hardly wait for this event (although I wish I had an extra week to help prepare) and I think it is going to be awesome. I'm bringing one Propeller based robot (work in progress) that I hope to have running by the show. I also have a couple classic robots coming along for the ride too.
I hope there is a lot of room on the freebie table this year! I've been cleaning up and have several boxes of "stuff" to add to the table. Lots of neat things in there to give to others to help with their projects!
Sumo bots interest me. How about bringing one or two of the small ones?
Hi Ron,
I'll have the 500 gram (ExSpurt) and 3 Kg (Executioner) BS2SX sumo robots on display along with the Propeller based fast line follower and RoboMagellan robots.
I always like to talk sumo.
Well, just wanted to verify the address Jeff, 100 Republic Street? I know I was there last year but I do a lot of traveling and can't remember for certain the address.
Unfortunately, it looks like we will not be able to make it in on Friday. I was talking with my wife and we just cannot find the extra $175 to cover the hotel bill. We still intend to be there for Saturday, but we will probably be late (when you don't normally get home from work until midnight, getting up to leave before 7:00 is pretty rough :freaked: Normal wakeup time is between 10:00 and 11:00)
So, my intro class will need to be a bit later in the day.
 Is anyone interested in buying a large (21-slot) S-100 motherboard with frame and card guides (Cromemco) and several S-100 cards? :hop:
P.S. OBC, it appears that I will be able to bring at least four systems (three notebooks/netbooks and one desktop) and I have three power strips (so far). I have found two power supplies for the Props (still have some more to go through - may have a bit more). So (with your three notebooks) we should have at least 7 systems for the class.
Thanks a lot :hop: - all the looking that I did showed nothing close. I am now booked at the Quality Inn - We will probably be getting there around 4:00 or so, I'll see you there.
I'll put a propeller hat sign on my door when I'm there.
If anyone sees a propeller hat sign on a door, feel free to knock.
I'll take the sign down when I'm not there.
OBC, where is that graphic you had that we could printout ???

Robot competition/demo:
Anyone taking wall following bots.
I have some 4" tall portable soft walls.
They can be set up in "unlimited" patterns.
Should I bring them with me?
Arrivals: Folks who need to setup have the choice of helping us at 7:00pm the night before and setting up then, or joining us after 9:00am.
PLEASE: Anyone who is not setting up, please do not arrive until after 10am
We need the morning to get final issues ironed out, and setup.
@Tables: There are a few tables onsite upstairs that we will bring down.
There are also twenty tables being delivered the night before from a local
rental company. To date we've always found room for everyone, so I don't reserve tables (yet) and ask that folks simply "make space" for those arriving.
If for some reason we see this starting to become an issue due to growth, we'll start reserving tables. In the meantime, we're trying to use the "KISS" method anywhere we can.
I apologize if I haven't been in direct contact with all the emails and PM's as quickly as I usually am, as you guys are flooding me, but know that I'm in "EXPO HIGH GEAR" over here and am looking forward to the event! (and doing the badges right now.)
Thank you in advance for those of you who are planning to help both the night before and cleanup. You have no idea how frantic we would be attempting it by ourselves!

I'm not in charge of anything, but...
Hang loose guys. There had to be some cut-off date for reservations.
You may have to contact OBC directly.
I'm sure he will see your posts soon.
Made other plans.

Those who need to sign up, please do so before Wednesday as this is the latest I can wait to print the badges.
Thanks!

I just yesterday booked at "Quality Inn Cedar Point South" for Friday and Saturday night. It is about 5 miles away, but was only $89/night.

The interview with Jeff Ledger at the 2010 UPEW is now available to watch on the Savage Circuits website as Savage Circuits TV Episode 7. Post your comments there.

Please remove my son, Art Granzeier IV, and release his ticket to be reused. He will not be able to make it.
My son, Peter, and I will still be there though.

I'm also bringing along a bunch of freebies that will take up another table....
