I realize that it's hard to think about UPENE when you might already be packing for UPEC,
(and of course, UPENE means the end of summer. :) -- but you guys should be good to go by the end of UPEW. :)

In the meantime, my planning starts now! :)

I'm working on a robotics compo of sorts and could use some input!

I'm glad it is that late. I'm moving into my first house and won't be settled in until mid July. The UPNE will be my only "vacation" this year. I probably won't have time to get my robot running in time for any competition cry.gif .

I MAY have my new motorcycle project ready for UPNE. I may have to trailer it up there to show it off.

Sorry, no wheelies in the parking lot!!! lol

It's not 100% Propeller, but there will be 1 or more Props in the mix.... smile.gif

I will have a "information booth" for PropBasic. Showing demos and answering questions.

I hope to have a couple computers setup with propeller demo boards running some of the PropBasic demos.

Of course you will be able to "play around" with the demo code to see how PropBasic works.

Maybe I'll see if I can a hold of a stingray or other bot with a propeller and do a PropBasic demo with it.

I can't wait to see everyone again. I'll probably be staying at the motel that is only a couple blocks away (I forget what it is right now).

Bean.

Hey OBC,

That wasn't a kick, just a nudge!

I am hoping that I will be able to get to this one after canceling out of Chicago. It was just too much after driving back from Florida two weeks ago and knowing that I will be driving back down again in less than two weeks.

I plan on attending again (loved both UPENE-09 and UPEC-10) - Working on improving my display for this expo. Also may be doing a presentation.

The reason for this post is to announce that my son, Peter, and I will be traveling from Pittsburgh, and can offer a ride to anyone from here who needs one. My route goes along the PA Turnpike to the OH Turnpike, so if anyone is on the way, I can stop to pick you up. I am not sure, but I am thinking of going on Friday this year and staying at one of the hotels. If anyone needs a ride and has a preference, I can probably accommodate. We have a mini-van and so can carry a bit of stuff, if you are selling/showing off your stuff, or want to present.

Since we are 6 weeks out, I thought I would bump this thread and ask ... Where is the preferred place of choice where people are staying among the hotel options?

Thanks for putting on UPENE, it's only a 3.5 hour drive for me! There is no way I could make it out to Rocklin, CA. I just started learning the Prop and can't wait to go and hopefully learn and get inspired!

I was just checking the registration list to see who was attending. My name was not showing up (I searched the page). Then I realized there was a "More" link on the bottom required to see the remaining four people on the list and there I was.

I don't really have any reason for posting that, but I wanted to bump the thread since we're getting close.

We are nearing 150 signups!

I'm switching into high-gear on my expo preparations this month!
Just locked in a new pizza shop for lunch. (Pizza craven just closed)

Heading up to Norwalk Friday for some paperwork and face to face
with the facility manager.

After that it'll be time to finish badges and do some shopping. :)

Just an FYI ... I just booked my hotel last week and got a better deal at the Best Western than what was originally suggested at the top of this link ... by about a $30 difference.

Been registered for quite awhile, got my hotel reservations two weeks ago. Bringing a friend and hoping he gets hooked. I didn't think UPENE was something for me, but after looking at the pictures and reading what people said about the expo, I decided to register. I figured it might be interesting. But the closer it gets, the more excited I am about the expo. So much so that I decided to jump in head first in learing the propeller! I LOVE the Prop!! I have been learning the Stamps for the last two years and just finished my first project. Now I'm looking forward to converting it to a Prop!

Thanks for your work OBC on the UPENE! It has inspired me to branch out beyond Stamps. I thought I could never learn the Prop. Didn't think I was capable. Look forward to meeting everyone at the expo!
