Thank you everyone!
Seriously, I'm grateful for this community. I've learned so much and have met the very best of people. It's funny how the Propeller and Parallax seem to attract so many great people, but I'll take it rather than break it!
One of my holiday gifts is a coupla nice long blocks of propeller time! (so sweet!) I've got the changes to potatotext queued for Casslan, and Freeway, and some assembling of the 6502 circuit. My chips arrived in time!!
This year, I've done it on travel, in hotel rooms, sneaking at work, and even got a totally portable setup for lunch time programming in the back of our Expedition. Just fold the seats, hook up the gear and it's perfect! Almost like a little roaming lab!! It's actually more productive too, because I'm off line during that time.
I know that sounds pathetic, or goofy, or whatever, but I think it's worth sharing for the passion and humor, if nothing else! I know that going the distance for something means it's worth it, so there you go.
Please do tell your, "How I scored Propeller time" stories on this thread, right along with your holiday wishes for everyone. I would love to hear both, for the entertainment, and maybe add them to the potato playbook.
Thanks again everyone. I'm happy to stand among you, sharing, learning, laughing and probably swearing, but in that healthy way that makes us try harder, not the ugly way.

I'm on the last day of a 4 day weekend...not too much prop time put in .
But I like what you said about being offline being more productive. I have recently realized that although I love this forum...what I have to do is write whatever code I'm planning to write THEN take a look at the forum
Happy Holidays all,
Rick

Hope you all had a great Xmas. I did, but it was located in the snowy depths of the middle of Finland. No chance of being disturbed there due to the total lack of internet. However also hundreds of kilometers from my Prop lab so sadly no time for Spinning either. Tomorrow it's back to work...

Wow thats next to no time off at all. We are forced ( with next to no resistance ) to stay off to Jan 4th. Either the PASM will be sorted out by then, or there will be another Prop with 9 Volts up its tailbone. It has been warned !!

However this year I'm working for a new start-up who's financial backers and, luckily, eager customers would like to see the first field installation of our kit working before year end.
Due to circumstance beyond my control everything is happening at the last moment!
Luckily I'm not one of the guys who will be working out in the -20 degrees C weather trying to kick life into said kit.
The only thing topical about all this is that I may find some work for the Propeller to do in this organization so I could be Spinning on the clock next year or so:)
Hope the PASM goes well, I start to worry about your cat again...

For me, the past is not over yet.
Sorry for being·a little bit too late but I came from hospital yesterday: this time I must have asked too much to my motorbike (see attachments). I don't know, but I have the feeling that I'll have much more time for the propeller the next weeks.
