Morpheus does not have a wait pin so it is not available there but it is available on Gadget Gangsters. There are pros and cons to each system. Obviously the bigest plus is if you have either system it will be a direct plug in.
Morpheus: Memory mapped access. Uses 1 IO port for burst mode and setting what page you are using. Each module has 2 8MB Pages mapped to $800000-$FFFFFF max of 16 pages. Has reprogrammable CPLD on board so users can change setup to suit there uses.
Propeller Platform: direct pin access to prop with simple logic circuits. Down side is riged layout and lots of pins used.
P0-P7 routed to D0-D7
P9-P12 routed to A0-A3
P13-P15 routed to L0-L2
P18 routed to RE#
P19 routed to WR#
P20 routed to CS
optional pins routed through solder bridge:
P17 routed to wait
P21 routed to clk
P22 routed to adv#
Hmm. There are missed opportunities in both designs. I won't go into details though because it is not my desire to hurt anyone.
Nick, have you started writing code yet?
