EEPROM verify error on COM7

When I try to load any program longer than a simple motor test into the EEPROM of my Stingray, I get an "EEPROM verify error on COM7" message. What does this mean? Is it something I'm doing, or a bad EEPROM chip in my Stingray? The same program loads fine into a virgin Demo board.

It's probably a bad EEPROM chip, but it could also be due to a drop in supply voltage during writing or verification or noise in the power supply. Given that this is a new product, you should contact Parallax Tech Support. They may want to have you send in the controller so they can do some investigating.

Thanks, Mike. Just to eliminate the voltage problem I just tested it poering the board from a wall wart - same problem. I guess I'll have to contact Parallax Tech Support. Sigh.

It does sound like a bed EEPROM. Tech Support is expecting a call from you if you haven't contacted them already. Take care.

P.S. - Please post subjects in only one thread at a time. This was also mentioned in the robotics forum. Thanks.

    Chris,

That was my fault. He asked this on a Stingray thread and I told him he might get an anwser on the Prop threads. The error is mine. Sorry Pyrotom!
