I do hope you realize what a shudder your post must have sent

"I think when you hit the 10,000 post mark, it'll be just as good if not better."

I'm not up to 300 yet, another 9,700+ to go. You poor, poor people.

And yes it is the sandman's usuall terratry, but the gits across the road are having a party in their garden.

My late mother used to reprimand me with "Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit!" when I was being sarcastic as a child. It's a common saying, but no one seems to know where it came from.

    Leon,

I always thought puns were the lowest form of wit. While the victim of sarcasm is usually one listener or reader, a pun is a frontal assault upon the entire English language. I suppose determining which is worse depends on how one assesses the relative damage. smile.gif

Are you sure she wasn't being sarcastic when she said that? Such tendencies do tend to run in families, you know.

If you want to bone up on your sarcasm in the Sandbox, watch some episodes of the American TV series "House." It's one of the most popular in Asia!

Funny, I'm just now half watching "House". Takes a Brit to do that.

    @Microcontolled

Don't worry, you are just using ridicule, about my posting numbers.

Most would be pleased to have me make just two posts, "Hello" and ...

I'm quite bad at sarcasm but All the comments here made me laugh aloud.
I concur with humanoido, House MD really hits the nail. A bit milder you will find in EUReKA between Stark and Carter and a bit funnier. (Just do not think that anything they say had any connection whatsoever with reality or science).

For the ones who can read some german I'd not recommend the forums at mikrocontroller.net, the comments are not sarcastic at all but plain rude (and only right in few cases). And be aware of making a grammatical mistake (germans hardly know their own language, do not ask about grammar!)!, as if they knew everything... what a waste! :-(

The Propeller seems to draw a higher grade of people. It's part of the reason I started the expos.
Now theres an example of how the written word can be misunderstood , which happens quite frequently in this type of environment.

I respect people that have worked for an education but that does not necessarily make them "higher grade" , I am sure this is not what was meant.

    Jeff T.
You must keep in mind that higher grade may actually·mean first grade instead of kindergarten.
