Agreed, micro. The heart of life on earth revolves around CO2. It's what plants take in and process to manufacture sugars - our food and every other animal's food.

Venus suffers from a runaway greenhouse effect, but this is because it's atmosphere is nearly 90 times the volume of Earth's. Even if Earth had the same volume of atmosphere and 90% CO2, there wouldn't be an enormous amount of change in the temperature... This is because when CO2 enters the atmosphere, it displaces some water vapor - a major contributor to the greenhouse effect. That's the great thing about Earth - the natural buffer between water vapor and CO2. If one gets out of balance, they act as a buffer and the climate is mantained.

It's a shame that this subject is no longer about the science of planetary climate, but more a subject of politics. A word of advice: Any time you are nearly burned at the stake for even questioning a SCIENCE, there's probably an agenda afoot and someone wants to gain from it.

that is true. global warming is real and co2 may be a small contributor but by no means the major one.

methane from cows is much worse. eating chicken instead or better yet insects.

Carl, CO2 is not safe [any more] ... Remember, it's now a Pollutant [after all].......
Yes, for that particular day you'll increase your day's CO2 output by perhaps 0.001% -- surely a crime against humanity.

I am wondering if your 7.5V power pack is in fact only delivering 7.5V? You should only require 6V header so after measuring it, you could use a few 1N4001..1N4007 diodes in series to drop the voltage. Each diode should drop about 0.6V and can handle 1A if soldered to a pcb. This would get rid of some heat in your regulator.

And wow - maybe my wife's old coin jars full of copper alloy 1c and 2c pieces might actually be worth something after all (Australian). They were removed from circulation years ago.

Make sure you guys don't dissolve any good pennies. Say you dissolve a whole jar of pennies that your grandma gave you and then you discover that it was actully was full of rare 1909 VDD pennies. Your grandma would be ashamed of you!! smile.gif

1909 penny will not dissolve.

I thought of that after I wrote my post; and I was hoping no one would notice. But because it is made entirely (or mostly anyway) of copper, The zinc will not dissolve because there is none!! smile.gif

Man, has this post drifted away from the original topic!!
