Nice! How about sharing some .REG keys when you start feeling better...

(A good tangle with the registry will do that to you.. :)

I'm actually building it into WINE so when WINE sees a port it builds the required reg keys. Not interested in doing it as a hack.

Way to go! I've wondered how hard it would be to dig into supporting WINE. I've got a ton of PLC apps that never work with WINE just because of the comport issue.

Thanks, and keep at it,

It'll arrive along in the regular WINE updates if I'm reading Brad's comments correctly.

Not to start with. I'll get it working and post some binaries and patches before I start the arduous fight to get stuff pushed upstream (did that several times years ago and it was hard yakka)

too cool. perhaps when its done you can post a patch somewhere for us who aren't patient enough to wait? ( i should read more carefully blush.gif )
at the moment the prop is the only reason i still have windoze still on my machine.

Amen to that!

That is one of the reasons I haven't done more with the prop. I have to reboot, and am not in my home environment. I like assembly, and I can do that under linux with pasm, but I have to leave all of the good spin code behind unless I run windows.
Contrary to popular opinion, THIS is NOT a windows world!

Thanks,
Doug

I'll second that (third?)·rolleyes.gif·. I use Linux too, but I have W2K on dual-boot - primarily for the Prop. Linux for everything else. I have my wife and mother using Linux too.

I keep my tiny laptop loaded with Windows only for Proptool now..
Having an older laptop, I'd much rather have Slackware on it..
