Ok Here is the final design.

The entire image is vector, so any size is available. However large quantities would need to be requested as single quantities are more expensive.

Still waiting for Parallax approval. smile.gif

    Thank you smile.gif

I like the laser engraving results, an Epilog if I am not mistaken. In a similar vein I can print directly on to wood and other substrates, this is what I was working on over Christmas, I have not ironed out the bugs but it's getting there and does print at least.

    Graham,

    Nice printer.
Does it still use normal ink?

Yes but these days they are pigment based so work well on many substrates

VERY nice! However, did you intend for "powered" to be lower case?

Yes, I didn't think it looked right in Uppercase. Am open to suggestions though. smile.gif

This is what it looks like in Uppercase.

I like it that way, but don't let me be the sole voice in your decision. Either way, I'll definitely take one or two when you get them produced!

They will be approximately $3AUD each + shipping.
    Price may differ slightly.
I really love the domed look. smile.gif

Will go with the Uppercase "P".

Could the appropriate Parallax staff member respond as soon as possible. Thank you smile.gif

More requests will be needed as I will be ordering a batch of 100 and I certainly don't need 98 of them.

    Information -
    size: 20x20mm
Material: Vinyl Label, with resin dome
    Printing: Digital printing
    Adhesive: Permanent

Looks like this - Dome stickers

    Thank you smile.gif

    Phil,

Great work on the logo!· Even better work on sharing it with everyone!· I know I have learned alot about some other cool stuff here!· Mainly, Grahams modified inkjet printer, looks great and a nice hack!· I personally like the domed sticker with "Powered By" and not the all lower case version.

The laser can raster and vector cut.· The laser is driven through a print driver using Corel X3.· Its a commercial product from http://www.epiloglaser.com/·.· Its driven through dc servo motors and is stupid fast and cutting and engraving.· If anyone wants any cases or the like engraved let me know.

    Ryan,

Thanks! I went to the Epilog website to drool. Whoa! That's some high-class equipment you've got there. Do you do engraving for a living?

    Graham,

Neat printer! How tightly must the head-to-substrate distance be maintained for a quality print?

    Phil,

We actual bought the laser to make SMT Mylar Stencils. We'll be offering this service in the next week or two. The idea is that you provide a .eps file of the solder resist of your surface mount pcb and then for $20 we send you a .005" Mylar Stencil of your design. The working area would be 8.5"x11" and could include multiple designs, but they can only be in a single file. Very similar service to the Pololu site and are used just like these here http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/present.php?p=Stenciling.

Phil, the distance between the print head and paper is about 3mm, how tightly this needs to be maintained for really good printing I'm not sure but you do get decent prints even when you don't take a lot of care.

    Ok If I get -

Less than 20 orders they will be $10.00AUD each
Less than 50 orders they will be $6.00AUD each
Less than 100 orders they will be $3.00AUD each

This is as a result of needing to get the money back for the order.

So if you want these at a good price buy some for your mum, your grandmother, or buy a truckload of these beautiful suckers to store in the attic. smile.gif

    Payments will be via PayPal.

Yeah, fine. I have no particular claim on it. It's Parallax's logo, after all, so you might want to clear it with them.

    rjo and friends,

You're all part of the "good guys" team at Parallax. You can use the sticker image in your video.

Many trademark and copyright attorneys would probably say we're acting a bit loose with our approval process, but we're okay accepting some risk that we won't be abused or this would become a big problem for us. . . like if a competitor decided they also needed to use the Propeller logo for their chip. As for any of you receiving a letter from our attorney, it's not going to happen. The attorney is kept behind a locked steel door and only comes out when we have real problems. In our business that means we only need him once every ten years. He's the only attorney that gets really hungry. And the couple of times he came out we didn't feed our customers to him.
