"Powered by Propeller" Sticker?

So, I have a·few Prop based solutions deployed already...· I was thinking it would be nice to add a sticker to the enclosures, like the ones Intel and Amd put on my laptops...· Does such a thing exist already?· Think we could talk the Parallax marketing people (is such people exist) into making some?

Great idea. I'd love an "SX Inside" sticker too.

Greta idea. Those 1" square domed acrylic decals for PC's would be nice, similar to what's stuck to the PropPlug ( the colors could do with being a bit brighter or bolder though ).

If parallax don't want to hold stock themselves, perhaps they could provide approved artwork and allow a third party to get them made and sold ?

And, while we're at it, what about enamel tie pins / studs ?

Well, you could leave room for the "II", to be extended to "III". But who knows? By then, it might be called the "Turbo Prop" !

Such sequences could be used for so called intelligence tests ("What comes next")

(a) 6800 - 68000 - 68200 - 68300 - 68400 - ?
(b) MAC - MAC+ - MAC II - iMac - ?
(c) 8008 - 8080 - 8086 - 80386 - 80486 - Pentium - Pentium II - Pentium Pro - Pentium III - Pentium 4 - ?

But you have seen nothing yet!

(d) Katmai - Coppermine - Tualatin - ?

To celebrate the launch of Vista I had a "W" tattooed on each buttock. When I bend over it says, "Wow".

This is not a tattoo, but a contour-cut, pearlescent white vinyl label (stuck to a blue notebook in the photo) that I made with my print/cut machine. It's about 1.1" wide and printed at 180dpi (a little crude, but that's what the printer does). I could make a limited number of these available for a SASE, for whoever wants one — pending Parallax's approval of their trademark usage, of course.

Thanks, Ken!

Okay, here's the deal: I will make up to 200 stickers. Email me at the address in my profile before Monday (GST) to reserve two of them. I'll respond with a postal address where you can send your self-address-stamped envelope, assuming no more than the 200 have already been reserved. (There's probably no way I can honor non-domestic requests, unless you can get your hands on the appropriate US postage stamps. Sorry. :-( )

I wish the offer could be more generous. The vinyl is cheap, and the machine time is immaterial, but the resin-transfer ribbon is single-use and a bit pricey. However, if it looks like the ribbon usage is lower than anticipated, I may extend the offer...

Rayman,

No, it's opaque with a white pearlescent background and a self-adhesive back. It will be provided on a peel-off backing.

As of 1 p.m. PST Friday, the stickers are still not 100% subscribed. So there's still time to reserve a couple...

For non-domestic forum participants who want a couple stickers, Gadgetman has informed me of a device called an International Reply Coupon (IRC). For the purposes of this transcation, it's a coupon purchased outside the U.S. that can be exchanged in the U.S. for U.S. postage. So, any non-U.S. residents who want stickers are also welcome to email me to reserve a couple. Instead of a self-addressed stamped envelope, a self-addressed envelope and an IRC will do the job just as well.

Phil,

Do you have vector artwork or a high-res picture so that I could engrave this with my laser cutter?

Finally, had a few minutes to run the engraving.· I simply removed some of the backing paper from some acrylic sheet.· I thought it came out very nice!

Ryan,

Do you have a clue what you are going to engrave?

I may want one.

Let me know,

I'm curious about the tool, too. It's hard to see any evidence of a radius on the inside angles. And what program to convert to tool paths?

Phil,

If your speaking of the engraved (laser) Ohararp did. He cheated, it is a laser.

I just wonder if he is going to engrave or burn something.....I want one, whatever he makes.

If enough people are interested and parallax give their "ok" I might get this turned into a domed sticker. Like the Prop Plug.
PM me if you are interested, and I will see what I can do.

Image of design attached.

I would be interested, but there may be some trademark issues. ;) It is nice, but it screams intel. Besides, I thought that the official Propeller slogan was "Powered by Propeller"?
