Check the webpage for the little guy's documentation? Perhaps they are stored there as well?

I can't seem to find that web page. It's all S3 now!

Then check the archival old pages then?

So now that I own a Scribbler S2, does anyone have the definitive download for the S2 samples?

You're in for a treat, Dave! S2 is a great robot, I have several!

Thanks! Perfect! There goes my week!

  • So I opened up my S2 and this is what I see:
Something is missing! (That's what you get with mystery boxes!)

So you paid $49 and all you got was a prototype S2 robot with no guts? You better express your dissatisfaction with the deal.

Well, I did get a few other things.

A LameStation, a continuous rotation servo, a Ping Sensor, and my favorite the engineers wrench!

  • I wonder... has anyone tried retrofitting a little DC motor driver and FLiP module into an old S2 chassis ? (Although the ultimate might be a Parallax Badge-WX, as that is battery powered already and allows for wireless programming from BlocklyProp-Solo to the S2 right off the bat!)

If anyone... maybe @erco has !!

My favorite is Harbor Freight's 4-lb "Engineer's Hammer"... more like misengineered hammer! https://www.harborfreight.com/4-lb-hardwood-engineers-hammer-69240.html

Is that a right hand or left hand hammer. It makes a difference. :)

  • The rest of these remain a mystety?

    A mystery? Probably Frank.

Mascot not involved in that unboxing.

Left-handed, grass fed, organic, free range, metric, Bluetooth-enabled smart dead blow hammer.

  • I've been lurking after a renewed interest in the Propeller series microcontroller (came back after a several year break from dabbling in the P1, checking out the P2), saw the mystery box and curiosity took hold and got one. I figure at minimum I owe a picture of what I got in the box. I am happy with what I got too. The S3 looks complete as well, brains included. Cyber:bot works, minus any accessories that'd be included, also thankful for the dead batteries that were included. :D

  • @DarkInsanePyro what is that purplish sheet of what looks like PCBs?

BS2pe Rev 2, v-scored panel of 50 boards. Nothing populated.

    Dang nice score, DarkInsanePyro!

Jealous. Ken took good care of you.

    Welcome to the forum!

Wow, just wow! This is a nice win! Our machinist packaged these up for us and he said "Ken, there's some really good stuff in there, so charge $80!" but because I hadn't seen the contents and our customers are always taking a gamble I opted for a more friendly $49. Happy to have you back into the Propeller mix, @DarkInsanePyro!

  • DarkInsanePyro,

The robots were a great sore but the Panavise was a great bonus!

So true. I got a cheap board vise from Amazon and regretted it... that is a very welcome surprise.

Now to figure out what kind of project these parts fit into... I think I have a few queued projects that can benefit.

  • And for my haul in the mystery box

I had a hard time figuring out the solar panel! Lol

Shawn, I think there's also an XBee 802.15.4 inside that S3! Open it up and take a look.

    Ken Gracey

    Hello!
And this is why @"Ken Gracey" I suggested before that for every purchase perhaps over 20$ the company should include a mystery object. Granted it might not work, but it seems to be a good idea.

  • Contents of the mystery box. The purple board is the BS2pe blanks (which I nearly caused loss of multiple @erco lives before explaining they were in fact unpopulated in what's in the box thread). Wondering which PIC was used for the PBASIC chip on the board. Think maybe the boards can be repurposed. Not shown, 4 dead leaking AA batteries. The BOE shield looks like all I had to do was fix a couple bent over connectors. Haven't tested much, been to busy. Will be interesting to see what can be done with the DIGI XBEE3 dev kit.

Wow, another win. That Digi XBee Series 3 Dev Kit is complete. Kinda like a forum member said "Ken just sweeps his desk off now and then and calls it a Mystery Box" and you are the beneficiary. It's true - I'm already building the next batch of kits!

This might be useful too https://www.parallax.com/xbee-rf-transparent-and-api-mode-demo/

    Ken Gracey

  • Ken,

This Digi XBEE3 kit is the cellular modem device. Will be interesting to see what is required to get it going.

    Frank

  • Frank,
I believe that DIGI's XTCU will talk to the device.
    Jim
